I remember in the early 1980 s there was a wreck on the Western Pacific Mainline and they borrowed this crane to help out. Pretty great looking at all the steam and steel and restoration going on here. Too Cool !!!!

Very happy to see that 93 is back in service glad that her repairs did not take long now we have both consolidation locomotives and Servise both the 93 and 81 what is cool about this Railroad is that they have an operating steam Railroad creed I wonder if there are any plans to restore their standard gauge steam powered rotary snowplow to operating condition

Great catch catching this heritage unit on this long distance train at the bridge with nice canary Nice K5LA Also this unit has been repainted back into the regular Amtrak scheme sadly because it was sent for a repaint but Amtrak didn’t have the right pant for it from what ever they were going to paint it I don’t naw if something was rong with its heritage scheme or not but this scheme has Ben saved Naw on 164 because they turned it into a heritage unit to be 184 replacement for this scheme

Thanks to the Late Jeff Forbis of the McCloud River Railroad(McCloud Railway) and the YREKA Western railway. Jeff did the initial restoration to operating condition at McCloud and the Yreka Western Railway purchased and preserved both the EX McCloud River Railroad #18 and the #19 during the dieselization era and housed them for decades.

Hey nice video thanks for posting. I didn't understand where you picked up the shot at 3:29, were you up in the Gold Hill cemeteries and the train just came out of Tunnel 2? Seems like it. Nice catch on the cab rides. In case you didn't know, you can head out into American Flat (carefully, though the mine is shut down atm). There's some good vantage points in there. For me the (highlight) of this video is seeing the RENO #11 sitting in the background, Finally!! It's back where it belongs!!!! Those degenerates at old tucson did not care for this locomotive at all,they just left it sitting unprotected from the elements out on that rainy hot dusty backlot,I was hoping it would end at the nevada state railroad museum in carson city,but it's back on it's old stomping grounds and that's good enough for me!! This locomotive should not just be cosmetically restored,this locomotive should be restored to complete operable condition!!!! But I'm so glad it's out of tucson....yeeesss..........

I noticed that on the fernley flyer, it is seen with BNSF locomotives most of the time and sometimes with Union Pacific locomotives. Do u know the BNSF locomotives that r currently powering the fernley flyer?
