Omar Chalan Rest Stop
Stopped at the Chalan Rest Stop for a little chat with Omar and friends. Rest stop on the San Gabriel River Trail where many cyclists gather to socialize and stock up on supplies and goodies.

Shout out to Mario and his carpet cleaning/auto detail business. Mostly solo on SART till I ran into Ron and Dixie at the coast. Rode back together for about 10 miles. They looked strong today.

Solo 50 miles on Santa Ana River Trail. Thought I'd throw in a few bikinis since last one got 1.4k views vs my usual 30 showing my face ha ha ha!
I'm sure that Omar stop has come in handy for many riders.
Shirley! 😁
🙏⚔️🇺🇸💪
First-time visitor. Liked and subscribed. Nice ride. I've ridden the SG River Trail many times before, but always from Whittier Narrows south to Seal Beach and back - comes out to similar mileage (44+ miles). Nice inexpensive eBay finds, by the way! 🤜🤛
@Tanstaafl1976 Thanks. I'm a budget go pro accessory guy ha ha. Yes the trail north is smoother and cleaner imo. I do north and south alternating to mix it up. 😄
Really great view at the 8:30 mark with the mountains and clouds.
🙏⚔️🇺🇸🚴
Thank you for sharing and vlogging your time! Hope you and the family had an amazing time out there
@shhgabeisthename8468 thanks for viewing 😉
Mrbeanz and his gadgets. I'm with you on medication, make life changes to control health without medication. Yesterday was my first ride in two weeks, longest stretch of the year off the bike so did plenty of climbing to suffer a bit.
@JustRideZipp2001 it's amazing 2 weeks off and we feel lacking. But still we exercise far more than 95% of the world. 😄
I have been to Peggy sues diner before but not to eat we got drinks and checked out the store
🙏⚔️🇺🇸🚴👍💪
Just about time to get your lights on for some night riding.
Did you win
@@williamstaehely1123 Sadly no 🤣
The girls gamble while you're walking the streets, and looks like you made some money. (lol).
😆😄😆
9/9/24? You know something we don’t? Lol
Oops! 🤣😂🤣
🙏⚔️🇺🇸
That's how SART was yesterday. It was relatively quiet day on the trail.
I guess everybody was out of town. 😄
Dang. I keep missing you at SART ARTIC
😅😢😅
@@mrbeanz63 I usually start about 8am which is probably too early for you. One of these days though! 😁
🙏⚔️🇺🇸💪
Thats a tough view the coast. 🤣🤣
😆😄😆
What kind of camera and extension that allows such fluid changes of front to back transitions? What trail was this?
San Gabriel River Trail in California. I actually have my go pro 10 attached to a small 6 inch tripod. Very thin fitting easily in my jersey pocket. So easy to turn the recorder by swinging my arm or spinning in my fist toward my subject.
I love the SGRT it’s always a fun ride
Thats what I would do just sit and look at the sand when at the beach. 🤣🤣🤣
😆😁😆
Dad gum work interfering with your riding!
@@gmediadv Life ain't fair at times. 🤣😂🤣
Where is this parking spot and how many miles from the beach?
Pico Rivera golf course. 40 miles round trip to Seal Beach. 605 and rose hills exit area.
@@mrbeanz63 Wilderness Park is a good spot too.
I enjoyed your riding in traffic video section. Riding along PCH gives a different kind of thrill than always riding on the bike trails, if you know what I mean. Good ride today. Now go and eat something healthy for dinner. Lol
@jimboscianni1244 It sure is different on a crowded pch. I only saw 1 other cyclist in the mix. I saw some earlier, but I guess they know the secret is to ride early before the crowds form. 😄
Well, I'd say it was a tough ride down by the beach. 🤣🤣
@@JustRideZipp2001 😄😂😄
🌞🌡🔥🚴👍🏽your ride emoji's
Yeah, this is one place I don't use many emojis but should ha ha ha!
Great video. Now that's entertainment!
Riding my stomping ground, did 37 miles on Saturday.
Nice!
Nice video. When I lived in Sierra Madre, back in the day, I rode this trail a few times. I was young then, and preferred the streets.
Nice! I enjoy the streets along the foothills at night. Great riding area 👌
I used to ride across Valley Blvd in Alhambra to Santa Anita Ave all the way up to Grand View Ave get there at like 5 am ride across Grand View to Michillinda Ave sometimes take a right climb it all the way to top then shoot down Hastings Ranch to Sierra Madre across Pasadena. Sierra Madre was my favorite community in the SGV. I loved Seal Beach too.
@@zztp7822-ec6zu Very nice! Did you ever keep going up Santa Anita all the way up to Chantry Flats? I did! I was a racer for a brief time, and made use of all the canyon roads. And Angeles Crest Highway to Mt. Wilson, and the ski resorts. I rode a 25 mile loop from Sierra Madre, over New York to the Rose Bowl, down Arroyo Seca to South Pas, over to San Marino, over Huntington Drive to Santa Anita, over Sierra Madre Boulevard to Bladwin, and then up yo my house.
Beanz- you are a true OG rider! I haven't checked in on any bike forums in years, then your video pops up on my YT feed. So happy to see you still laying down the miles. Hope to bump in to you IRL one of these days (SGRT is my go-to ride, also). Ride safe!
Thanks C! Yup, I take pride in being on the bike since 1995. Almost 30 consistent years. Been there done that kind of rider but still loving my bikes. Hope to see you some time .........if I can ever get out of bed early enough to see the others ha ha ha!
Ok, because I know you I will criticize you. Scrolling on U tube it was between you or Bill & Lisa. I chose you. The only interesting thing on this video was your hat and the chick you passed in Seal Beach.😔
..and you don't even have that in your videos. 😆😄😆
I'm in a different niche of society. I'm just an old man telling tales. Your young. Get in the water fool.@@mrbeanz63
We keep getting pop-up thunderstorms this holiday weekend which makes timing a ride very tough.
That would suck! 🤣
How can you and Tony go out and ride in those horrible conditions, with all that nice sun and open trail. 🤣🤣
It's rough, but somebody's got to do it. 😁
I can't wait we have temps rolling into the 90's and humid moving in early this week.
Sounds like fun 😁
Great footage, 40 miles ain't no joke .. nice ride.
Thanks Man! Checked out your ride video, really cool. Like the drone footage.
This was a great video of both of you. I always get a kick watching Tony. You're doing awesome by commenting and giving little talks to your audience. We want to know the stuff riders face. Why don't you ever go into the water at Seal Beach?
I never go into the water because having big genitals, I capture too much sand and it makes it uncomfortable riding back grinding sand against my rather large goods. Actually, I am not a water person, pool yes, sand and grit, no. I would not be able to clean off well enough to ride back 20 miles without getting bad irritations with the bike seat. Just my experiences having been in the water at the beach.
Wish I had a real ocean beach close by, I have to drive in my car over an hour to get near one. Camera worked fine.
We're lucky. Ride 20 miles, at the beach. Ride the opposite direction 15 miles, We're in the mountains.
You have some pretty wide ass roads, although I really like the canyon road.
We do have some good wide ones. Usually pretty safe but some drivers do 70+ on these roads making it a little sketchy at times.
See my reply to you and Tony 6 months ago. I made a comment on the wrong thread.😵💫😯😶 I mean see the comment with you and Tony on the last time you rode together.
Nice jib Mr Beanz and happy belated birthday 👍🏼
Thank you Sir!
Well done mr beanz.
Thanks RM ! 🤓
Happy Birthday Mr. Beanz!!
FryDadddy? Super Wow! Thanks. Good to hear from you. 👍
@@mrbeanz63 Thanks Mr. Beanz! Great to see you are still riding. I'm only on the MTB these days, but one day I might have to dust off the road bike and see if I can find you 😁
Happy B-Day sir. Out doing what you enjoy I hope. I'll be the age in 6 months.
Thank you. Growing old isn't so bad as long as one has a bicycle. 😄
Happy Birthday Mr.Beanz !
Thanks JRZ. 😄
Somedays the fight is real, but at least you had some nice sunshine at one point. Rain all day Saturday, and can't make up it's so far early Sunday.
Rain no Bueno! 🤣
Hey where is our close-up view looking out from the hotel window.
In the new video, Sunday in Laughlin. 😛
Why didn't you take your mom to Laughlin?
😥 promo sm
What? 🤔
The trail was pretty light with riders also besides the restroom area.
Ever since the authorities let the homeless sitcheeashun get out of hand, many locals don't want to ride the trail. I mean camps lining the trail for a mile in 3 separate areas. Then covid didn't help either.
I wonder if some of the regulars on the SART were in Irvine today for the cicloirvine event?
I didn't know about it but during dinner, I saw a clip on the news that seemed there was a cycling event going on. Couldn't hear the TV very well with the crowd but I'm betting it was the event you mention.
Its called the crankahaft pully
FYI GUYS. on the 07 silverado 1500 classic 4.3l. There is also a crankshaft sensor behind the starter
That sure looks like a nice route that you've been doing lately, and you're still a young dog.
Great ride gentlemen, you too Mr. Beanz 🤣🤣that sun sure felt good even over here.
😆😄😅
,Your buddy you mentioned, was he from the cast of Barney Miller?
