Arizona Fleet 42 held an impromptu sail event at Bartlett Lake December 21 & 22. Five catamarans, three kayaks, and an RC sailboat came out to the lake as well as a good, fun group of people to use them! It was warm and both windy and calm by turns so the conditions were great for sailing and paddling!

Fleet 42 participated in Tucson Hobie Fleet 514's 39th annual Piñata Regatta! The heat followed us down to Mexico but 27 cats and their crews had good times and great racing!

A sizzling hot weekend but still a (unexpectedly) good turnout! There was a little suffering through the heat but we were rewarded with good wind on Saturday.

Arizona Fleet 42 event. The abortive attempt to beat the Arizona heat by having a night sail! 3 cats and two kayaks arrived at sunset and got set up to launch into a full moon when a monsoon rolled into the party. The wind was good for a couple of hours but we took too long to set up and missed the window. High winds in the dark were not a safe situation and we had to abandon. Still, it was fun...
father's day sail 2024 (cancelled!)

The Fleet 42 Father's Day Sail event was cancelled due to excessive heat forecast... but some of us went anyway! The forecast was correct. We all agreed cancelling was the right call... but still glad we went!

Arizona Fleet 66 hosted their 35th annual Cinco de Mayo Regatta in Rocky Point (Puerto Peñasco), Mexico. Some surf but otherwise great weather and wind and another successful event!

Arizona Fleet 42 at Roosevelt Lake for our Spring Fever Sail event. 11 boats and 28 folks made it out! Varied conditions made it a perfect sailing weekend for all skill levels. Can't wait to do it again.

Turns out i do! I bought it for the trailer... But turns out it is a good little boat! Needs some very minor improvements and it'll be a gem! Now I'm in quandary!

Outstanding 👏🏻 not sure how y’all tolerated the cold but very awesome 👏🏻 I’m sure y’all enjoyed the lake with nobody, no boats with motors? I bet y’all go out when winds go crazy while boat with motors dock? Anyhow I’ve never seen sailboats on any Arizona lakes. That probably cause y’all go when it’s normally to cold for us yahoo’s. 😂
Haha, we prefer it warm as well! The wind was too crazy even for us that day... It chased everyone including us off the lake! Had to wait until late in the day for it to calm down a bit. It did make for some cool photos though!
@@scottwinkler1241 last summer we were there and in the early morning till into late afternoon the water was amazing smooth. But into the early evening, round about 5-6:00 wind was crazy. I’ve seen many boats go down. Especially at Bartlett. I do not enjoy the wind while on the lake. Anyhow I very much enjoyed your video. Thank you for posting. Hopefully you’ll post more.
