A walk around there would stay with me for life, I would never forget it, I'd have nightmares about it. The Americans, Russians and British, already traumatised by war, must have thought that they'd entered Hell itself, completely man--made.

Humans are the cruelest animals on Earth 😢.

We were there in Sept. 2017 as well. I remember seeing from the top of the quarry the beautiful nearby rolling hills. Also from up on the walls one can see the distant Alps. I remember thinking it must have been terrible to see such beauty off in the distance from such a hell hole. The walk up from the bus stop was through such a beautiful neighborhood too.

The loud music is too much.

My great grandfather was there the day it was liberated. I have original Polaroids that he took of that day.

Church interior is WRONG. While from the outside, yes it's Kirche Maria am Gestade, the inside is shoot in Kirche Mariahilf. Also wrong poet stairs. They are on the west side of the Otto Wagner Schützenhaus building with added handrail. Other than that pretty spot on. I watched your video before I visited Vienna. Thanks! It was a fantastic trip!

I haven't seen the movie before and was quite surprised to see the street I used to live in at 10:18. The yellow/white building on the left corner, right next to the windows with the green metal bars, blew up in a gas explosion in 2019.

My wife and I visited here. We had been to Buchenwald, Auschwitz 1, 2, and 3, the site of thePlaszow Work Camp, Mauthausen, and finally Dachau. I'm not sure why, but Dachau was the worst for me... Maybe because it was the first camp built for its purpose by the Nazis. They were all bad in their own way, but Dachau stood out.
