A defo twist on a Full English, which I love for my breakfast when we are away. The hotel looked nice mind and that waterfall was superb and good to have a guide who can keep you right with al the local customs. 180 steps in the heat does not sound that much fun but the views over Mount Batur were brilliant. 'So much food' .....that sounds great for me and what a nice thought that honeymoon cake was, real nice of them, cheers Alan

I was up there yesterday and was really nice. We came back via stank glen and unless you have researched the route/have a map, it's easy to take the wrong turn. I use an app called Komoot, paid £20, and this allowed me to download all the maps which you can use offline. I then found the route on the App, and saved it on my planner. I then start the route on the app at the bottom of the hill, and it will proceed to give you step by step instructions. TBH, it's great for most of the mountains I've gone up. Just make sure you bring a spare battery for your phone, or a portable charger as it does use up your battery. This walk was fine for my battery however, in the past, my battery as ran out and I've had to charge it.

My great grandad told me stories of him walking over the peninsula to the Isle of Pladda (lighthouse island) in kildonan when the tide is out. I tried it myself one day... but it was too deep!

As soon as I saw the lochan I knew you'd missed the turn. Plenty of people have made that mistake. To be honest IF you'd found the way down into Stank Glen you'd likely have meandered through the paths down there. So it's probably best that you missed the turn. Preparation, knowledge and kit. Be safe.

Thanks bro for sharing this video ..this gives me the idea what is next after ladder ..as i climbed till ladder and then i was scared of sudden depth and finally returned back from ladder point ..but your video actually shown me there are lot of scary routes after ladder for me ..good that you have reached summit .. ..So i Couldnt complete my video ..

never been to the Isle of Arran before but always wanted to go. Not keen on the ferry, I must admit but the food looked canny mind. Real rouged coastline and you called if when you said it was Baltic. I loved the ruined castle, shame there was not much left mind but the isolation of the place really appeals to me. Drinks and fish and chips, perfect way to end the day, cheers Alan

I have been up Helm Crag twice this year, the last time 3 weeks ago with Mrs Metalman, who enjoyed the views but did not like the climb. If you go back to Grasmere another great walk is to Easdale Tarn, which is the left turn across the bridge, where you turned right, at the top of Easdale Road. One of Mrs MetalMan's favorite walks and you got so many options to extend the walk from there. Very good vlog and real surprised it has not got more views, it deserves it. Cheers Alan

Did this today with less than 5 yards of visibility which is quite a scary thing. But i researched the route and had directions on how to navigate it.
