I said the magic prayer when I was 12, because I was threatened by the traveling evangelist with the ticking time bomb that could go off at any time. "Where would you go if you died tonight?" Then, immediately after saying the prayer, my pastor's wife asked me if I 'felt' saved... planting the idea that the magic prayer might not have worked. What I 'felt' for 55 years was fear that I couldn't even get saved right. Thanks to Baxter and Jason, and and several others in your circles, I've been able to let go of most of that. Thank you for these episodes.

How do I find the reality of this no more insecurity
It's a step by step process. Taking those small steps of taking sides with Jesus. Letting him love us into the deepest parts of our being, in the parts that we are ashamed of and feeling his love and embrace in that space. Sometimes doing some inner healing work can also be helpful too. If you'd like any recommendations on who to reach out to, for inner healing work, we have a few contacts that we can provide.

Yes! Just shared this with a beautiful young man who said Jesus hates sin but loves the sinner. They don't see the incredible depth of what love does right inside of the skubala!

I keep asking people where does it say you have to embrace a relationship with God this side of bodily death. I know the scriptures that people use but I’m not convinced. God never changes and he is always reconciling and desiring reconciliation.
Can wait to the next session.
The Father, Son and Spirit are always reconciling, always pursuing, always encouraging us to take a step with him and take sides with him. We always have a choice. One of our friends says Jesus is a gentleman, he is never going to force us to do anything we don't want to, the choice is always ours, to live in the freedom and fellowship we are being invited into or to continue living in our pain and shame. It's a step by step thing, and looks different for everyone.

This is monotheism, Jesus is the Father but in human form. Because he's both human and God, he becomes another persona of God (which is why he is called the son) but Jesus is exactly the same as the Father. It's like God the Father displaying he's omnipotent - being everywhere all at once.

Homoousios to patri sums it up well. They are of the same being - one, but each has its own identity. The Father never becomes the Son or the Spirit, The Son never becomes the Father or Spirit and The Spirit never becomes the Son or Father. We also teach a lot on the Nicene creed which has beautiful statements on who God is as Father, Son and Spirit.

It is a life long journey of coming to understand what is. It's a step by step thing and sometimes even 1 step forward, 2 steps back. The untangling process is different for each and every one of us... hang in there.

Can we hear this in loop for all eternity,cos they preached a different crap all through my life ,I used to get born again and again all through my life , night after night, only to doubt that by the next day afternoon.What a joke when we don't understand the basics of what BORN AGAIN is, after spending a lifetime being a Christian.
Many of us have similar stories. Hopefully in the future we will know this truth more and that this is the truth that will be taught to our children and our grandchildren - that they have in fact already been born again in Jesus.

Thank you. I am struggling to reconcile this message and what happened in 70 C.E. If you read the historical accounts it was one of the most horrific things I can imagine. This is the divine judgement that we fear. I look at the flood and I look at the judgements against Israel at the hands of Babylon etc. I look at the blood shed when Israel annihilated men women and children even the animals when entering the promised land. This is fear inspiring. How do I reconcile these fearful judgements with the Gospel and the coming lake of fire and not fear?
