Thank you! I recently visited the Delaney exhibit in Knoxville Tennessee. I’ve long admired Mr. Beauford’s talent and painted a “yellow” memorial of he, Marian Anderson and James Baldwin which hangs in my library.

Brilliant ! What a relief after hearing Summer of 1915 by (too) many sopranos with often too much vibrato. Russell Thomas got my attention right from the start. Wish it was not only 3 minutes, but I have noted his name down! Compliments from the Netherlands, Russell.

le voci dei neri sono genalmente scure,sombre, bellisime ma peculiari , qui abbiamo squillo, portamento e mai e' svilita la qualita' "maschile" del timbro, lo trovo meraviglioso forse qualcuno potra' parlare qualche ripresa di fiato in piu' rispetto allo spartito, io lo trovo MAGNIFICO!

Why doesn't XX provide some details about Ms. Lafayette. She clearly has a voice for the role and even German the singing is impressive for an individual who has no name recognition. True she takes the high C forte not as Verdi marked but then so do most Aidas.
