    All you need to do is to compress the two small tabs on each side of the adjuster with your finger nails, 2:04 pointing right at it, then push the adjuster foreword with your thumb, dislodging the bottom of the lamp (loop the wire into the housing recess to allow wire length for removal from the front). Now from the front use a plastic pry tool and tuck it between the top of the lamp and the black plastic collar then gently pry the lamp out of the two top tab sockets. Unplug the power connector, replace the bulbs then pop it back in from the front. Done, 5 minutes tops.

    The manual for my WGEN9500TFC doesn't mention changing the oil after the break in period. Do they assume I know I'm supposed to change the oil or is this something done out an abundance of caution?

    • @KoreyB03
      @KoreyB03 24 วันที่ผ่านมา

      3 oil changes could definitely be considered overly cautious. I started this from when I bought my Predator generator. I looked up a break in cycle online and found this to benefit my generator the most. My mower had a break In cycle in the manual also that had me change the oil after an initial run. all of the brand new motors Ive changed the oil in have had some type of metal flake in the oil that was clearly visible. It’s an extra step, but if it’ll prolong the life of the engine then I’m in for an extra oil change or two.

    Your generator doesn't have enough amperage to power the compressor's initial load. The LRA (Locked Rotor Amps) is over 100 amps, but your generator's maximum is 50 amps. To run a 4-ton AC unit efficiently, you need to install a soft start device on the AC unit. This device limits the amperage, allowing you to use your generator without risking damage.

    • @KoreyB03
      @KoreyB03 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      A soft start is absolutely on the list of things to install. It would make the ac’s life so much easier. I don’t run it unless I need to. Usually when the power goes off I can wait it out without having to run it off the generator. BUT, in the middle of Texas summer if it’s off for more than an hour we have to run it. I do my best to try and only run the ac so it stresses the generator and any other circuits I’m running as little as possible on start up.

      More oil changes never hurt an engine. There is debris from the factory. I personally plan to add oil and then change the oil before I even start it to get out any debris possible before running it. Bearings and cylinder walls hate debris. Then I will probably run it 5 mins and change the oil again. And then do the break in like this guy. Yessir, I have a 4 ton ac. It runs that, along w my fridge, kitchen plugs, and living room. I have to run an extension cord from one of the 110 outlets on it I to the house to the microwave Inorder to run it. Microwave always trips the breaker if I try to run the circuit it’s on. That’s all I’ve really ever put on it at one time. I’m sure it’s got more to go, but I just haven’t had any reason to run more than that at one time. As an emergency generator I’d recommend it every single time. It’s done amazing for me.

      @@KoreyB03 Great. I just ordered the new 14500 trifuel Westinghouse. I installed a microair easy start and took my 5 ton in rush starting amps from 148 to 36! I immediately bought another for other 1.5 ton I have. I think I will be able to run everything but the dryer and oven. Was going to get the bigger twin cylinder but it looks like it would be overkill. I do like the pressurized oil pump, cooler and oil filer on that though but just isn't necessary for passing storms.

    I did a Retro from shaft. .ine is whirlwind. Immediately noticed that the smell disappeared. The sprinkler water use to smell, you can smell it when it turned on. Now, you can barely tell. Shaft just doesn't aerate enough and if heavy rains come and you don't shit areator off , you will buy a new shaft every year to other year. I installed myself. Got one with pressure alarm in it so didn't have to run air line to control.lanel..Got a flat lid vice the dome, drilled hole in top for cord and spa tubing to go thru, and plugged in. If had a tech come, they would charge labor an addtl 300-400 on top of 590. Cost a bit but did get housing, alarm, and the 80 vice 60.

    What size tires you go with

      @KoreyB03 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      33”. 285/70/17 Kenda Klever RT. They rub in the front slightly at full lock, but not bad enough that I wouldn’t do the lift or buy those tires again.
