WATER RESERVOIR
Definition: Is a natural or man made place, where water is collected. This water can be used for domestic, irrigation and other uses
Our focus is on Irrigation water.
For irrigation we collect rain run offs or collect from Roof gutter
Capacity:
1 M³= 1000 L
The size of your reservoir will depends with the acreage to be under production
For instance if you target atleast to do an acre we require an approximately
300M³ Dam
300M³ can be( 10m Length, 10m Width, 3m depth) or it equivalent
Total Water capacity will be: 300,000 Liters.
The Cost
To build this sort of a reservoir you need an approximately ksh 250,000 to ksh 300,000.

Bracharia Grass need to eat.and 2 majors nutrients are phosphorus and nitrogen 1) At planting: Apply well rotten compost or farmyard manure 2) Basal fertilizer: either at planting or 14 days after transplanting. 50kg per acre Eg, DAP, TSP, SSP, Rock phosphate 3) Top dress with Nitrogen fertilizers. 50kg per acre. Eg CAN; Urea

Its depends but from 3 months, you can a well composted product. Solarization can helps in managing weed seeds

Copper based fungicide like funguran, Cuppro caffro. Also common fungicide like Milraz, ridomil.

Background sound is baaad
This grass grows well on our farm here in the Philippines. Very satisfied with the results. We intentionally overgrazed some of our paddocks to test it's grazing resistance, and the regrowth was excellent after 4 weeks. We only applied fertilizer once, and after over a year, they are still green and thriving. I just found out that this grass is introducing more nitrogen to the soil, instead of depleting them.

Thank you for the response I have been asking this question to a number of farmers but the answers that they were giving me was not satisfied but naw you have made it clear to me.i but the seeds about four months ago and I planted it and now it's has started producing seeds because I don't cut it even once just to get mot seeds to plant again but the seeds,many of them will not get to the maturity stage and the seeds dry off.i am very grateful for your time

hello Sir, I like this grass a lot but I am in South Africa so I am not sure how it will perform in our climate which has very cold winter with frost mornings.
