I've been a fan since EV came out in 1990, but after watching videos after all these years and seeing how everything played out, I honestly think Terry and Cindy lacked loyalty to Maxine and Dawn. Both of them were an integral part of the group. They should've worked as a team, not take sides and shouldn't have had an "every man for himself" mentality. It's a shame. If they would've stayed together, they would've been unstoppable (Like they were when Funky Divas was released).

Please. Florence was a mess. She made her own decisions and did what she wanted. There is no reason to look to blame Diana Ross for Florence down falls in her life. Although, we know Diana tried to help Florence financially. Diana should not be viewed in a negative light if Florence was insisting on living as she chose. If anyone should be looked at other than Florence, it should be her family. Diana Ross was envied because of her success. Miss me with the BS. If there are still people buying into these old stories about Diana and her wanting to take all the shine away from the Supremes, they are just fans of the gossip. Its entertainment for them. And the blessings just kept on being showered on Diana Ross. God is always in charge.

The sad thing about this whole group from the get go, is that Diane was always about herself, She used people at her will to get what she wanted including stealing the lead spot from Florence and Mary....She used Barry along the way, but what I don't understand is Why Barry didn't cut her line, knowing what she was doing....Another thing that didn't sit well with me, is that Diane, never wanted to be considered Black, I guess because she considered her race as poor....One thing for sure I wouldn't never sell my ass or open my legs for all the money in the world to put my Black Name on a 45....She did become a Star but with that came GARBAGE....She might be an ICON....but her REPUTATION will always be in the GUTTER. I associate New Jack with my parents who met in 1987. Dad had a flat top, my mom a Jheri Curl and went to Bobby Brown concerts. Before age 5 the music I listened to influenced by my mom was exclusively Whitney, Mariah, and Janet. I always joke I was conceived with New Jack Swing in the background. Feel like that music was the background to my youth. I love it being sampled and revived in today's music. Even in KPOP now, it's influence is far reaching.

Dawn was (and is) the soul of the group and she had absolutely no illusions that En Vogue was caught in an ever closing financial vice that was orchestrated by their label, especially as their success and popularity began skyrocketing during the opening phases of the 1990s.

Its a shame they had a bad deal which caused the breakup. I love the original EnVogue, but i like Amanda Cole and Rhona Bennett when they joined. They were/are not out of place. They fit in. They might as well create a super 5 member group. Amanda may noy be interested.
