A superb running session Jon, lovely long rakes. You got some crackin' bargains there with the 56's and the 58's A pleasure to watch Sir. All the best....Andy
Nice looking locomotive.
I love the opportunity to walk round Toton one open day.
Locomotives do not have to move to look great a TMD with parked Locomotives looks great
The way DBC is going there will only be models left
Very nice 👌 👍
Your channel is amazing, i love it, i have much to look back on Jon, your definitely a man of the railway, well the db railway, wonderful!
You knew i would view! A wonderful tribute there but im filling up Jon so that's that. Our last ginger cat passed away just before covid struck in early March 2020 aged 19, same as you all absolutely devastated but we move on, time heals so ended up with Raymond with a huge personality, just like Mittens.
Can't believe what ive just seen Jon! Gorgeous kitty Mittens a gorgeous but naughty cat! We adore ours, a big ginger Tom, wanted to call him Kitty Redshed but as you can imagine request denied!
Thank you. Best not look at video 75. 😢
@@southviewtmdthen i will do if coarse haha!
eine schöne Präsentation deiner Loks und Züge. Gefällt mir sehr gut, obwohl Spur 00 für mich zu gross ist. Fährst du digital oder analog auf deiner Anlage?
Another great video as always pal. Outa intrest, how many of the 250 db 66's have you driven in your career?
Thank you. Thats very kind. Last count was DB 175 DRS 9 FL 94 GB 6 Colas 2 Just the ones abroad I need. Not had 026/073/224 yet.
@@southviewtmd very impressive. Shame their getting shot of the 60's. Best loco in my opinion.
@@denarmstrong7868 Yes. Sad days indeed. Big fan of the 60.
@@southviewtmdhi, very sorry, ive commented on this your latest and almost given up! Three times now and the comment disappears in front of my eyes, just dont get it! Its obviously at UT issue, it wont let me comment to you? Wont give up though!
@RedShedNick blimey. This one showed up at least. Good luck!
Nice presentation. 👍👍👍
Thank you. that's very kind
Great video, I have watched a few of yours lately and this seems to be the best to offer a tour of the layout. You seem to have a good amount of locos and stock and please correct me if I’m wrong but no fiddle yard. Do you replace the stock on the layout quite often? Cheers, Dave
Thank you. That's very Kind. No i don't have a fiddle yard. All the locos stay out which is why i wanted a large TMD. Stock however is continually cycled in and out of storage. Dependent on mood usually. I can store several rakes of coaches in the platforms and 3 freight sets (2 on the high level, 1 in the loop) on the layout. Thank you for your interest
Got 4 of them so far but have an issue with my Prostrate Cancer 66769 where the sound distorts thru the removal roof panel and yours sounds like it has the same issue. When you have sound on just use your finger to press down on the removable roof panel and you'll notice the difference. It's driving me nuts because I can't resolve it, as if the roof panel doesn't sit tight enough but pressing it down with your finger gets rid of the distortion.
Hi, That's interesting you mention that. Mine had a horrendous rattle at first. I did the finger thing (had same issue with the Deltics) I just could not get the roof to sit right. After removing the body and re fixing the roof with some very tiny spots of black tack it improved 100%. TBH i can no longer hear the rattle. Thanks for the comment. Appreciated
Wow Steve dont want to hear negatives, still only have 001and will check this issue forthwith, got me concerned now. The others from my friend Jim at the Locoshed in Whitefield Manchester, still not recieved his order yet, should have been yesterday, so god knows what's happened. When he does so, just this minute decided on 763/167/507 and had already placed an order for 004 Climate Hero.all dcc sound. He will save them for me so not in any rush and give me time to decide on some swaps. Interesting isdye there hmm! Will think of a way of getting around it. Let's hope its the only negative and you know what, will stick my neck out on the line and say no other problems!
@@RedShedNick Yeah its the only negative Nick. My other 3 (66415, 66779 & 66763) don't do this but for some reason the removable roof panel looks to sit perfectly fine but the sound distorts or vibrates it causing a buzzy type sound to come from it. No matter what I do I can't resolve it so will have to speak to Accurascale at some point. Cheers Steve
@@sapphirejunction8993Well let me know Steve thanks.Oh caught Evening Star on the afternoon Liverpool Biomass, looked good in the Sun.
Nice. I got the gbrf 66769. Just waiting for the green dB one to come into stock at Rails.
thank you. Yes i wanted the green one too
It's in stock now payment was taken this morning.
Yes the best yet, no ifs and buts about it! You chiose well there, lovely Redshed 167 with perfect sound, the best sound to date, it surpasses the Hattons snd every thing before it. Accurascale have nailed it in every department. Think my Climate Hero arrives tommorow and another, haven't decided which as yet, what should i go for? Please tell me! Excellent start up and running session there, loved it! Thanks for sharing, cheers Nick.
Thank you, really kind of you to say. I cant tell you what to get as i biased towards DB. Always will be. Good luck with yours though. Enjoy!
@@southviewtmdhaha as my utube channel suggests Redshed 66077! Yes EWS/Db for me too, talking of which got a lovely shot of 66067 Tand T with very oldie 66006 bringing up the rear on the Dowlow Ashburys at Reddish (Stockport) earlier, will upload soon, oh and the smelly bins, Knowlsey to Wilton before it 66117.
@@RedShedNick Ah yes. Of course. 077. Sporting the HVO on the side. Currently a regular off Knottingley on the biomass. Had it a few times recently. 👍🏻
@@southviewtmdhaha not seen it since its slogan was applied. Decided just now will get the dcc sound in GBRf, db 167of coarse, Freightliner and Climate Hero. Shush dont tell the wife!
nice shed! good sound :)
Many thanks. Really appreciated
Lovely! 💙

Nice, Thanks.
Kind of you to say. Thank you
Awesome compilation and a brilliant personal work record Jon, fantastic mate
Far too kind my very good friend. Cheers
Cracking video and yes the 56's were synonymous with Knottingley as my friend drove them on a daily basis. I am waiting for Cavalex to do one in Loadhaul livery.
Indeed. Top shed! Thanks for the kind comment.
Thanks for posting. Not much of a view from a Cl.08 Cab-window.
Thanks for watching. Yes its rather restricted.
Hi the 56 iv never seen a bachmann one iv got a old hornby 56 converted to dcc it’s runs fine are your ones hornby and if so do they have metal chassis and NO tyres it would be great to know
Hi, i have 6 as seen in the video. All but 120 (Cavalex) are Hornby with all wheel drive metal chassis and no traction tyres.
Nice running session 👍🏻 I only own one class 56 at the moment, always room for more 😀
Thank you. I'm currently scooping up all the Hornby 56s that have become an excellent second hand purchase since the Cavalex one appeared
Grid action! Love the class 37 & 58 too.
Thank you. Appreciate the comment
Gridlocked! Living on the WCML as a kid I always had to travel to see these MGR monsters! Some impressive weathering on show.
That is very kind of you to say. Appreciate the comment.
I need to be on that rat going to Scarborough. Argh, not stopping at Seamer! lol
Special stop order?
Excellent running session, enjoyed that! 😃👍
Thank you for a very kind and appreciated comment
Probably the best sounding locomotives ever. Lovely session, they look great on your fantastic layout with its open spaces.

Fantastic Video!!! Thumbs Up an best Greetings
Sorry for the late reply. Very kind of you to say. thank you.
Hi, that was good to see and thankyou for replying to my request. The Bags of Sand must be off-loaded from a Truck into a Storage Shed and then brought into the Depot (by hand) as required? I also wondered how Waste Water and Waste Oil are dealt with (IBCs delivered & collected by road) and about Fire Precautions, typically Hoses, Extinguishers and Signage? For this Depot, does the Fuel Oil come direct off a Road-Tanker into a Storage Tank and the Engine Oil the same or is this latter from IBCs? All of this info. is great for modelling purposes rather than just leaving it as a basic Engine Shed with no indication of the working activities that take place. Thankyou.
Sorry for the late reply. Yes about the sand. Yes the fuel is delivered by road transport. Appreciate the comment. Thank you.
I really like the variety of engines. Joe from Canada I subscribed to your channel.
Sorry for the late reply. Thanks for the kind comment

Some really good pics there Jon. I hear there are a lot of class 60's coming up for sale. Let's hope some of them find new owners.
Sorry for the late reply. Very kind of you to say. Hopefully some will but they all require money spending on them now.
Very nice Video! BIG LIKE and Thumbs Up!
Sorry for the late reply. That is a very kind thing to say. Thank you so much.
Have you got the Modelu Class 56 crew figures? I've got some on order for my 56's.
Hi, sorry for delay in answering. Ill be putting a driver in but it will probably be a Bachmann one i have lying around. I'm tight. Lol
What HAA wagons do you use? I've got 3 of the Cavalex class 56's & some Cavalex HAA's. Not had the chance to use them yet as my TMD layout is currently being built for me. Do like the review.
Hi, sorry for delay in answering. Thanks. They are all Hornby ones. I got a really good deal on them from a good friend. I find them to be good enough.
Lovely layout and running session ... Steve

Sadly reminds me of good days never to return. I was a Db driver in the days of the black gold and we were busy beyond belief. Them days are long gone and I'm now into the final few years of my career for Freightliner these days. Db a pale shadow of what was 😢
Hi, sorry for delay in answering. Its actually really tragic how the decline has set in. The glory have passed How sad.
