Hi! Thank your comment! In this video the main output of tempest goes stereo to input 1-2 of OT, while the kickdrum goes mono into input 3 of OT so that I can process them separately! So you could send one more if you need it! 😉

I use both together! Being md digital you have a bit more controls, but let’s say i use tempest for the fat, md for the knee

@@realkappalone Ah ha! Thanks so much for the reply. I'm trying to figure out if Octatrack is a good unit for me but was worried it's overdrive will sound to clean for me, but that kick and sub are nasty in just the way I like, thumbs up!

I already knew this method, but now and again - depending on what project I'm loading the Tempest just disappears in Thru tracks. Only got it working again by creating a new project!

Hi there and thank you very much! I will start from the bottom: No amps, but in this liveset i introduced one FMR RNLA compressor to boost the signal a bit on the master. Regatding the Octatrack/Tempest comparison i can state the following: i love the octatrack digital fx on my tempest analog signal 😁

Ops! I forgot the routing! Midi sync from octatrack to tempest, then pulse and machinedrum. Audio from tempest and pulse into the octatrack, audio from machinedrum straight to master

Thank you very much mark! Octatrack as midi clock master, clock goes into the tempest, which sends both clock and notes to the pulse2. All audio outputs go into the octatrack and are effected with various fx,. Ok, quick is quick, but let me know if it's exhaustive enough!

Ciao Massimiliano! grazie ! the Tempest and the Pulse2 have the octatrack's compressors and fx. On the master audio file recorded, i cut everything below around 35hz and pump it a bit before adding it to the video ;)

Hi tom, thanks for asking! the long kickdrum comes from the tempest and gets filtered+compressed into the octatrack, plus there is an additional sample on the OT layered with the first to add a bit of punch to it ;)

@@realkappalone sounds really good :-) I was debating a tempest to go with my rytm, ended up choosing alpha base instead. so many bad tempest videos - your's is very good though.

Honestly, I do not even use all 16 beats to make an hour of music, most of changes are made within the single beats (with 16mutes) - I understand that maybe I'm using her a bit unconventionally, but I would love to have some more midi notes per beat, rather than having more beats (this also beacuse i pair every beat with a bank on the octatrack and one program on the Pulse2, thus too many beat would probably be hard to manage) - btw, I've checked your channel and subscribed immediately, really nice sounds!

@@realkappalone idd, i'm thinking of getting rid of the tempest all the time but i cant do it because id miss it's sound & feel. but using only elektron gear for example would be easier.. I'm stuck with the tempest & rytm that don't function that well together especially in songmode the tempest is a bitch

you hit really close! I had the tempest and wanted to add more voices and effects, decided for the OT to avoid adding a mixer to the setup, for the moment =)
