Merci Beucoup
This is astounding. The energy seems to bubble and tumble out of the instruments creating a wonderful tepestry of beautiful melodies. Well done folks!!
❤❤❤
04/22/24: 00:35 And they're off to a good start! But can they sustain that momentum? We shall see... Excellent. No discernible difference between the above and the professional orchestras. Congratulations!
Exceptionally well done!
Very impressive from the start and through the middle sections. It seems that you all have matured in controlling the sound which comes out of your ensemble. Very good.
Where else would their sound emanate from?
Mr. Reed, What I was noting wasn't meant to be an explicit remark for outsiders. You know,or don't you that turn overs in organizations occur on somewhat arbitrary frequency, but they do occur. All I was trying to offer here was that I could readily identify this ensemble because of a previous hearing of them. Before.
@@RonaldWilliams-rz6wp 04/22/24: 72 years later, and I'm still an "outsider" (despite my family establishing a scholarship program at Harvard for Commonwealth students). Alas, my eternal hope for acceptance from the Oxford elite have been dashed again. Oh, Nancy Mitford, where did it all go wrong? Will I ever be "U" someday?
@@donreed All that I can say is that “it’s wrong if you want it to be wrong”.
@@RonaldWilliams-rz6wp 04/28/24: Sounds like a criminal defense for a bank robber who's trying to convince a judge that ONLY the judge thinks that a bank robbery is a crime. (Seriously, give up. You're out of your league. And the quality of your prose is, quite frankly, pathetic.)
I was there. It was marvellous. What an accomplished young man! Bravo!
Nice timpani roll at the very end with a nice stinger on the finish of the roll. BRAVO
Felix: Top notch. I completely enjoyed it. I love the Weber overtures. This one and Oberon are probably my favorites. No obvious ensemble problems. Great job with the transition to C major. You're living my dream . I grew up watching Bernstein in B&W on TV. I conducted our "stereo" starting at a young age. Albeit left handed. I always heard and sang interior parts. I did conduct hs band and chorus a few times. I hope you're able to post more works from this concert. This is just great. Pass my best regards on to your musicians. You guys are making it work. Regards, Walt
Great music
I wish the camera had been able to include the full orchestra. It looks like we missed a few contributors on the right and left of the screen. Also, I'd like to have seen the players names by position as a roll-out. This is likely a once in a life time performance for many, perhaps all, of the members of the ensemble. I am envious of Felix and the members of the orchestra. I first took note of Bruckner when I was studying for my PhD comps on a Sunday afternoon in April and the Baltimore classical FM radio station played a Bruckner symphony (maybe the Third). I turned to my collegiate companion, and told her I thought that was the most remarkable orchestral piece I had ever heard. On Monday we visited Record Master, a store near campus, and bought a couple of more Bruckner Symphony LPs. You are all so fortunate to have discovered him earlier in your lives. Best Wishes from Washington,DC
👏🏻👏🏻👍🏻🎼
Looking forward the whole recording from all angles. 🙂📯
I'm not listening until the whole performance is available.
Waiting for the other movements.
You’re shit
Love the way the bells chime. Quite a reverb.
A stunning performance and as always, gets me every time. Sorry if I hugged too hard.
