50 dollar gun is better

for anyone wondering, yes that was fully automatic but the amount of money you will waste by the paint you break is insane using full auto. Not only that, full auto on that gun is most likely prohibited to use at a paintball field near you. the most you'll be able to use is the NXL ramping which is 13.5 shots per second, if they even allow that. If anything you'll have a better experience and get to know the gun better if you simply stick with semi-auto. But overall its definitely a great speedball starter. I say all of this because I actually own a mini.

Back in the day, I’m old now, we were playing some nighttime paintball, just myself and some friends on some green space-flood plane area. We were stupid, I wasn’t wearing a face mask or goggles. It was roughly 20 degrees F, outside and we had been playing for sometime. The paint balls were effectively at ambient temps. I came around some trees into a clearing and thought I could see the silhouette of a person, so naturally I stuck my head forward, leading with my eyeballs trying to make out the figure. The moment I realized, uh oh, that’s a person and they have the drop on me, I heard the sound of a shot and felt a simultaneous impact of a paintball hitting the left side of my nose and cheek area. One inch higher and I would be blind in my left eye. In your video, you can see it. When the paintball shell is cold, it’s brittle and breaks into sharp pieces. When the paintball hit my face the cold shell cut/split my left nostril. The remaining portion blistered my cheek. There was an instant moment of panic when I felt liquid on my face, but I quickly realized it was just paint and not blood. Not much blood anyway. I also realized pretty fast that my eye was okay. I tell this story to give a laugh but to also make the point of playing safe. Never be stupid like I was. Always, at least protect your eyes. I can still feel the skin is different where I was blistered in the cold night. Never again. I was VERY lucky.
