What ligature does David Shifrin use?
How to baritone your tenor just by changing your mouthpiece!
There comes a time when you have to ask yourself “is life really worth living?”
What is the "optimal" way for an Otto Link mp? I find it hard to fit the ligature when it has the pins down.

❤️❤️❤️❤️
If it spins, it means the screw needs to be flipped
Jadni ljudi kako im je bilo svirati s maskama 😮
I have a Versa ligature for both alto sax and soprano sax and while I like them, I have had the plate fall out of the cradle numerous times on both, even when the ligature was tightened on the mouthpiece and reed.
I have seen you around so many saxophone videos
but the sizing is so confusing. Why not just go by the diameter of the widest part of mp? Mine is a vintage C melody Goldbeck, very small. Measures 25 mm at the widest part.
I think something is wrong with the sound on this video. Your voice is very quite and I can barely hear what you are saying. I’m sure this has to do with not wanting to hear the sax sound with the compression that YT adds, but it still sounds weird.
The mouthpiece delivers only part of the tonal picture that the saxophone can produce. It seems it somewhat delivers the core sound only, but so much is missing that it can't be used for serious soloing. However, that being said, this mouthpiece may help students play the saxophone in bands and not overblowing, playing better in tune for harmony parts, and for modern styles where the sax is playing just brief phrases with a few notes, repeatedly.
The tone is dark, accurate and full… nice tool for the arsenal!
HAHAHAHA, NO
Lol its all baffle all sides! 😆 👌
Wonderful!
I'm sure it sounds good, but you can't quite hear the tone quality as either you're too close to the mic, or the mouthpiece just has so much power the mic cant cope.
No. No no no no no. Just ... no
It's such an amazing mouthpiece, it makes you sound like a funk bass player : )
Can you please point me to the sound samples/test reviews. Hello from Ireland Lynne and George. :)
Thanks Phil! Happy Birthday! I still remember my first Rovner ligature, back at good ole North Texas State University Lab Band Jazz studies program!! I got it in 1980, I still have it and use it! It's a 41 year old ligature!! How's that for high quality!!! I'm a former service member of USAF Bands, 23 years, now retired, and also the Administrator of Facebook's largest ligature group, "Saxophone Ligature Screws"
Those display stands and the mouthpiece stands are fantastic!!!
Thanks Grant! More info at RovnerProducts.com
The space shield face shield is an incredible invention!!!!! It's perfect for being safe and yet still being able to play.
Love the hat! Lol!
Got one for tenor
The best ligatures! My Royal City Sax Quartet uses them, and I've personally used them for at least 40 years!
So glad to hear it! Thank you for making us part of your sound!

Very innovative --- thanks Zack!
Thank you so much! Best wishes
Kudos, Rovner-folk!
Thank you, Seth!
I have few different ones just got a MKIII thingybob one. I love it. Keep the good work guys. I love the DARK sound.
So glad you like it Gary! Thank you for making us part of your sound!
I have used the Rovner Dark and Light on my alto sax and I definitely noticed a difference with them. They centered the tone, made it a bit mellower and darker than with my Rico H and Francois Louis Ultimate ligatures. However I wouldn't say they made the reeds more playable as they tended to dampen the reed vibrations and at least on my JodyJazz HR* mouthpiece, I found it slightly harder to get low notes out than with my other ligatures. That being said, they won't scratch the mouthpiece due to the material and do work well for classical playing and are easy to take on and off and fit all my mouthpieces well so I could use the same ligature on all of them.
Just picked up a Versa for my Soprano Metal Lebayle Mouthpiece. Fantastic! Very happy!
So glad you enjoy it Jaared!
I didn't think a ligature would make a difference, but I was wrong. Just got my Rovner Dark tenor ligature, put it on...and instantly got a fatter, more flexible and more precise sound. For me, it was really economical way to improve my sound quickly.
Hi, all the ligature Rovner are good but the STAR ligature is very bad, because when I try to open it, i can not, due to the design
