Not a red flag. I'd do the same to my partner. I lost a parent because of bad dietary issues, and my remaining parent is ill as well. I do all I can to not become that and turn into a burden, I expect the same back. To me, being fit and healthy is a sign of mutual respect.

@balancedbyanav A person doesn't wake up fat by eating unhealthily once or skipping the gym for a week. It is a relatively slow process when you start from a fit place. My reasoning is that I would've already commented and/or tried to help. If it got to the point of me leaving, I would have already exhausted all of my patience and expressed my concerns. I would be justified in leaving.

Huge red flag! 🚩🚩🚩There are 100 reasons to gain weight and often it doesn’t mean you become unhealthy! I mean he is right: the person is not the same person anymore. But that’s life people change for worse but also for the better. Gaining some weight can be both or even neutral. Neither you nor me are the same person we were last year or even one month before. If you’re not up to your partner changing over the time of your relationship you shouldn’t start one in the first place! 💁🏼 An other concerning thing is: how is he going to decide if there partner is “letting them self go” or if they are in chronic stress, a bad mental place, having an undiagnosed medical condition or anything else, that could make them gain weight unwanted? If you’re not up for your partners bad times you do not deserve them at there good times! 🥺

I have a couple rules when I comment on others videos. Such as commenting here. My top rule is to NEVER EVER post anything NEGATIVE about someone’s appearance or eating habits. Ever…. There’s enough negativity in this world why fuel it. If they asked for people to comment on those type of things well they open the door for all kinds of reactions. I refuse to attack someone. Absolutely it isn’t, only when it becomes an obsession and takes over your life it becomes one but unfortunately for a lot people the line is very blurred and sometimes in the name of “healthy” the behaviour becomes distorted. Is it ok to count calories? Sure. Is it normal to refuse to go out with friends because you don’t know the calories in a restaurant? Probably not but some will say “j am not going out because I want to be in control or aware of my calories” . That behaviour long term can’t be healthy for your mental health

Taste is just part of it . You can want it but you don’t have to binge on it like many people don’t. Those that binge on chocolate in most cases avoid it and then on a given cheat day go all in. There is a world where one row of chocolate doesn’t turn into a full blown binge but for most people who are constantly dieting and not allowing themselves chocolate this is a mystery. They are dieting while dreaming about that chocolate and of course since they know they have one day to eat chocolate before a new round of restriction starts they eat everything in sight.
