I managed to take a photo of the Andromeda galaxy in 2023, but deleted it because it was just a hazy light in the middle of the photo. Yes, an 8" dobsonian telescope can collect much more light and see much farther. It is a very good telescope for the moon and planets.

No, the 9mm eyepiece reinforcement was sufficient.

@@SmitPatel-q8c Oh right 😄 The Celestron AstroMaster 70AZ has a focal length of 900mm, so the planets and moon appear closer. My dobsonian telescope has a focal length of 350mm, which is shorter, so the planets and moon appear farther away.

Yes, there is a chance it could explode :)

the shape of the star is not perfectly round but it still reminds a circle. The star is far away to us so you are seeing the the star's LIGHT shape so thats not the original shape

@@lunaoriginalxc2 I haven't imaged it yet with my new 8" dobsonian telescope. When I record stars with it, they will appear round in shape.

@@lunaoriginalxc2 Most of these videos were shot with a 76/350mm dobsonian and since the mirrors were fixed, collimation adjustment could not be made. I bought an 8" dobsonian telescope 2 weeks ago and the stars appear completely round in the images I take with the 8" dobsonian telescope.
