"He killed Elvis." You have to know the friendship he and Elvis had to know what an absolute wrecking ball of a roast that was! George and JD were like the Larry Bird and Magic Johnson of gospel music!
Man this is great lol. "Gave George a chance to sing baritone, ain't low enough to sing bass" JD just casually talking lower than most bass singers can even sing.
1:22 can somebody explain the joke to me, as I am only learning english? Did I understand correctly that the meaning is like he would rather listen to anybody else singing the song but JD Sumner? And JD misunderstood it and thought he was the one? :)
I grew up in the Cathedral of Tomorrow from the time I was 11 years old until I went to seminary. I sang in a youth quartet my junior and senior years of high school and had the incredible blessing to sing on stage with the Cathedral Quartet. To this day one of the greatest blessings in my life was to grow up listening to the Cathedral Quartet. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
I love this video. Two old friends having fun picking at each other. Some of the funniest things you will ever hear, and not one dirty word. God bless JD and George. I bet they’re up there in heaven still ribbing each other and keeping everyone entertained.

Poor Rex Nelon having to play referee.
I got to see George and The Cathedrals every year in Dayton,Ohio when I'm was a boy. Thanks for all the good memories! George and Glenn were the best!

Elvis would have loved that! I think he was planning on doing a gospel tour with J.D. and the Stamps before he passed.
JD, George, Rex Nelon ❤️

Love the humor!!!😂😂😂😂
JD’s voice is golden.
JD’s voice is golden.
George Younger sounded like a pure tenor
If George was a pure tenor, baritones are pure castrati
@@vitormrmr George may be a bass singer, but he's a baritone compared to J.D.

"When JD was born, his parents were so disappointed. They was hoping for children"🤣
I caught that too, at the end! That’s just terrible! 😂 😂 😂 Funny but terrible!

Bass singers are always the trouble makers.🤣
Love this, so very funny!!!

If we didn't know better youd swear they didn't like eachother but they were close as brothers and dear friends.
Anybody know when this clip was filmed?
George sounds like a baritone when he speaks than a bass. JD is deep even when he speaks.
George is a soprano compared to JD lol
JD Sumner and Zlatopolsky had the deepest speaking voices
London Parris had a baritonal speaking voice, but sang with more power than Jd sumner
