HeroesCon 2024 Real Time Floor Walk
HeroesCon is local to me so I take for granted the opportunity to attend every year. I know a lot of people have heard about HeroesCon but may not have had the same opportunity. That got me thinking and I decided to take my 360 cam for a walk around the convention floor. Here is a real-time walk-through from the entrance through the entire convention isle-by-isle. I walked a steady pace without stopping to look at any particular booth other than a lingering look at the live art stage.
This is a convention that is all about the comics and their creators. The first part of the video is a walk through of all the comic and merch vendors. The last half is a walk through of "Artist Alley" which is really comprised of both writers and artist. Some of the biggest names in the industry are regular attendees of HeroesCon. I won't bother to list them all here. You can go to their website to see the ridiculously long list.
To give you a sense of how large this Con is, this video is right at 46 minutes long. Again, steady pace, not stopping. I spent two full days walking around and had well over 10,000 steps per day.
If you are a comic collector or a fan of the creators you owe it to yourself to attend the Con at least once.
*Disclaimer* - this is not intended to be a "professional" video. My camera randomly cut off a few times so there is a couple of weird cuts. I saw each time so I didn't lose any coverage other than the last half-row when the camera batter died completely. Enjoy it for what it is.

Close Encounter
มุมมอง 3.6K5 หลายเดือนก่อน
Had an interesting, slightly tense encounter with an airplane while flying with a friend yesterday. Luckily I was using Gaggle to alert me of nearby aircraft and my aviation radio so that I could hear the air traffic in the area. The fact that I knew he saw us took some of the shock out of it but for a split second it looked like he was headed right at us.
Learning to Fly...Paramotors

A summary of my first 8 months of flying set to the most appropriate song I could think of. This has been one of the most fulfilling things I have ever done and I am thankful to have found such a great instructor and supportive group of pilots to help me get started.

Quick flight just before Thanksgiving. Had to cut it short due to belt slipping. Once I heard it, I had to feather the throttle enough get back around the field to land into the wind.

Had a really nice flight. Taking advantage of the unusually warm air before the really chilly days come back. I was having all kinds of radio interference so audio in this is atrocious. I would suggest just turning the volume down.

Amazing con and think we see ya there, i saw us in the video!
Such a great con!
He would be harder to see against the ground background than you would be against the sky, assuming he has a clear view upwards.
You know he can see you at least. 😁
I fly out of an airport and of course I always try to fly very early in the mornings before really any GA pilots are flying but usually by the time I come back and ready to land they are up in the air and since Gaggle has had technology to see other planes it has been great and and I use it quite often and like you once I get a heading from Gaggle where they are it is not always easy to see them but knowing where to scan sure helps out! I also carry a Rexon AV band radio as well to keep in comms with other local pilots.
Perhaps one of the many lightweight, low power draw transponders available to paraglider pilots could help to avoid a really serious event taking place (as opposed to close fly-pasts in clear VFR conditions). Many paraglider pilots strongly advise the use of bicycle stones to be worn or attached to the aircraft (especially in hazy weather conditions). Just a couple of thoughts though, nothing more.
wheres your bicycle strobe lights?
Non event. Wasted my time.
It was one minute and 30 seconds. I think you'll survive.
VFR
Yep. Pretty much entirely sums it up 😁
We don't have many PPCs or PPGs where I fly, but we do have a lot of paragliders. You guys are *very* visible. If you are at about the same altitude, and an aircraft pilot does not see you, they are really not paying attention. Of course, if you are 1000 feet below them, they might not see you because you blend into the background. I saw the other comment about wake turbulence, and the suggestion that flying below a PPC is best. I typically want to stay about a mile laterally from any other traffic, no matter what it is. Do you know if there is any standard best practices that you guys would like small aircraft pilots to know about flying near you? BTW, in Europe, many gliders, paragliders, and other small aircraft use FLARM to send and receive traffic information. Since the FAA does not allow you guys to use ADS-B (sadly), this might be a good solution (eventually).
I can't hear a fooking thing! G damn stupid disco music blaring on the vid!
As a often low flying pilot for some decades now, and former HG and UL pilot, I find the tech you are using interesting, but I'm not sure what good it's going to do you, other than ruin an otherwise enjoyable flight! Especially with a lot of pilots, me for one, who only has his com radio on when intending to land at an airport. The threat of a mid air is never going to go away, I just keep my eyeballs peeled and so far so good, 52 years of flying later.
I've reviewed my footage after close encounters and with the distortion everything looks further away than it did in real life. Based on that it would seem you were basically on top of him. At least he was kind enough to fly below you. I had GA circle above me and as much as I tried to climb and turn away I was bracing for wake turbulence for a few minutes.
I have experienced wake turbulence while flying sn ultralight. You quickly begin to feel like a cork in the ocean!

Question... on Norwegian when we go we always get 3 of the pay restaurants included for free with our package.. does RC do that as well?
Hey I noticed the difference is spectrum of sea cruises do not have cruise bookies, also plant/flower vase , also those oldie day laundry bags
I'm on this ship 11-5-22 for only my 2nd cruise, my first was on NCL Breakaway. I am going in with an open mind but I can tell already that NCL rooms definitely have more modern features even though being an older ship. My wife has cruised many times on carnival and royal but not on their newer ships. NCL tops her list with Royal a close second.
deck eleven and there are seventeen lol unbelievable size
Thx for that tour. I had wanted to see the bathroom and you gave a great view of it as well as entire room. Think I will go with that room.
Nice...
No entiendo el motivo por el que Royal Caribbean no tiene cafeteras en las cabinas
Comparing the same type of cabin, balcony, to the Wonder of the Seas, this looks luxurious! Don't get why Wonder cabins are so poor and boring look!
Ima bone my wife on that balcony
Congratulations on your wonderful journey!
The journey is great to look back at. Now its just all buttery air!
Great job! just started this year as well
Surprising that TH-cam has not dinged you for using copyrighted music...
It does. It just means that the video is not eligible for monetization.
@@warrengibson5988 Oh! I did not know one could use "all" music. That certainly opens a world of great possibilities doesn't it?!?!? Very cool and thanks for the bit of education!
Nice job 😀 😁
very nice video
Thanks for sharing your developing skills
Nice job Warren.
Awesome job man! I'll be looking forward to flying with you.
How much did it cost the room and other stuff
What does it cost of 7 night in symphony of the seas please tell me please please please please please please please please
Thanks for sharing. We’ll be on the Symphony on May 1st!
Claustrophobia nightmare. :(
People might like not to hear but his vocal range its miles better than brian Johnson's is
Going through and watching these videos OMG, I SO miss those days! 🤯🙆🏽♀️
Hi, Thats a nice video, Myself I never travel with any cruisehip, but I worked at ferries before.
can You Please Show the room key receptacle again?.
Want to be friend I love RCI. Sub
How much it cost buddy
My question would be why pay for a more expensive room if you arnt gonna be in the room really at all
People have reasons. Personally i get a balcony so i can watch the boat come into ports from my room.
Those "3rd class" rooms will ruin your vacation. Been there done that. The whole ship feels lux but going back to those cheap rooms ruins Ur mood
Beautiful room
I stayed in this room last year with my wife for our weeding anniversary.

Good job on the video. Loved the flameless candles and your organization! That's the way to do it!
If she doesn't mind, where did your wife get her formal dress? It is so pretty.

Thank you! Can't wait until next May.
