had an alternate Tiny Pasture solution, similar except I transformed jiji instead of the flags, then used the tele badbads to get FLAG IS into the pasture rather than WIN out
I managed to solve floatiest platforms with something close to the original game (except stacking the badbads against the door rather than the edge) and remember thinking the movements were incredibly annoying and unsatisfying, so it's a relief to see that it wasn't the intended solution
the version I have of Got All This Stuff Here in the levelpack doesn't have the IS BABA in the corner - is this intentional?
Yeah, that one is a long story. Originally (in the original level) it was just an empty square so I decided to place a baba there just for the lulz. Later, for more lulz, I placed an IS BABA. You can't really do anything with thaose words, it was just a joke. Ultimately I decided removing that because I thought it would just confuse people. I left the baba there, though.
Burglary : I just don't get it. I tried to do it but it didn't work since there are 2 doors and 62 keys I think. At the end you still have 60 keys. Making keys into doors and doors into keys isn't gonna change the fact that it's not the same number.
Okay, I just read about this assymetry thing in the description. Does it mean you can open multiple "shut" things with just one thing, but multiple "open" things can't disappear all at once with one shut thing? Or something like that... I'm not blaming you, but I'm still angry because, how could I possibly know that? It's completely counterintuitive. So I spent a lot of time looking for a solution that didn't exist. Also, why this KEY IS DEFEAT? The walls surrounding it imply it has to be undone, but with WALL IS KEY, it's not meaningful that they were set in this specific way in the first place. And, the SHIFT was inside the square of walls at the beginning, so I assumed it had to be used before getting out. Making WALL IS KEY felt way too easy. I hope it doesn't feel like a hateful comment. :p It's not. It's still a pleasure to play this game, and this level pack is very satisfying. This level was really disturbing. I just finished Solitary Island, and even the hardest levels here felt way less difficult. I think I spent less time in the whole Solitary Island than in Burglary. At one point I wondered if I had to use the "weird bug" to solve Burglary. I was just a bit confused by Dim Signal, but there wasn't much to experiment anyway. Thank you for your work!
@@guillaumelebail2295 Yeah, when on the same tile, one open shut can open several shut objects, however one shut object only destroys one open object, that's why you need to toggle the open and shuts like that so that you can parse the rules on the exact time to get rid of everything. The "key is defeat" was there just to resemble the original, really. I wanted to use this trick in some level and it just felt right to do it here, since it's the open and shut levels after all. I guess I just assumed people would know this trick, it's a bit like the stacking "is" thing. You don't really ever get that explained, yet everybody seems to know for whatever reason. But you have a point: looking back the level can be really hard if you don't...
@@oliverkolossoski1434 My solution was ridiculously long and complicated. I stacked two IS and destroyed two KEY/DOOR at each turn and did that again untill there's no door/key anymore. But it worked! I'm sorry if it looked a bit harsh. You basically made another game, I'm grateful really. Thank you!
Extra-2 has a much easier probably unintended solution, (spoilers) you can use the extra PULL block to battering-ram the rocks over the water without having to mess with BADBAD IS YOU at all
is that STOP in Affection meant to be anything or is it a red herring? for some reason this level gave me the most trouble out of anything here because I kept trying to figure out how it could possibly help
The STOP is there to prevent you from doing something else is YOU

META is finally done, i feel sad that badbad is you is coming to an end 😢 I love 'Just Yes and No' using all 12 starting words, while original 'Just No' used only 2 NOTs, and the solution was too easy for META level. Plus, the trick that negating LEVEL IS LEVEL and transforming simultaneously is awesome. 'The Box', 'Queue' is also good remix (But i still don't know the reason why NEAR and IS are stacked in first one). And what is the intended glitch solution of 'A Prize Well Earned'? Maybe start with forming Not baba is you? + LINE IS STILL rule in META overworld is just dummy text?
The reason why Is is stacked with NEAR in The Box is to prevent "level near rock is push", that would make it possible to retrieve the rock text and do "level on rock is win", which is always true. With the is stacked you transform the level onto rock when you try doing that. Oh I guess controlling the orb also works, then you just do "orb not feeling win is power", yea. The normal solution is just that... Using that the power is gonna be read in a weird way and everything is gonna work out fine. You'd think when orb is win it would cancel the bonus, since it shouldn't be powered anymore, but it still works due to parsing order. The glitch I wanted to showcase was something like: start by placing the LONELY next to "orb is word" reading "lonely orb is word", then place the IS next to the orb as shown in the video, and then push it right once. You can see that the sentence doesn't parse even if you leave the orb (it should, because lonely orb is word) Originally I wanted to use that as a solution, but the way I did you don't really see the bug since it would only happen on the next step. There is this level that actually uses this trick tho: 87RK-UYY9 Yep, Line is Still was originally added because I had the SHIFT on the meta on earlier versions (in fact I think there are some videos in this playlist where the SHIFT is still there). Later I realized I couldn't do the shift thing I wanted on the meta overworld so I removed it... But I forgot to remove that additional text :p
Booby trap's ghost transformation is next-level! Canister's Stacking and Unstacking text trick is also great. There's easier 'Hidden Path' solution. Just form LEVEL IS SHIFT and break it. th-cam.com/video/J8B5EuaHi6s/w-d-xo.html (I'm pretty sure it's cheese) And 'Whoa'... i have no idea how select and shift works actually. What a chaos.
Oh yeah, I have seen that solution to Hidden Path already. To be fair I find it kinda cool, so I'm leaving it.
That Booby Trap solution absolutely blew my mind... Avalanche's mini levels are fun. Most of them are remix of museum but much harder. (My Footprints alt-solution is forming CLIFF MIMIC BADBAD to destroy the bottom cliff, then forming BADBAD/LEVEL IS WIN vertically.)

I really love Exercise Hall a lot, since I didn't expect Exercise Hall has become an amazing transformation level from just 'joke', while Crushers hardest level to easiest one. (I feel a bit dizzy because the game screen was upside down, so i was hoping there be DOWN haha) Parade... yeah, i saw that solution before. It's so weird but very clever solution. With SWAP and MOVE/SHIFT, there's no impossible IMO :D Collaborative Effort and Priority Lane trick is also good. + I don't need to beat level 04 and 05 for entering Endless Corridor (Forming baba is rock) like original Depth's alternative solution. Is this intended?
Yes, since you can make 2 skulls because of exercise hall it gets easier to reach the extras. I didn't mind it very much, though. It's worthy because of the cool transformation :p

Wow! I think 'Ultimate Maze' transformation is one of the most difficult puzzle in both original and badbad is you.
Yeah, it's pretty convoluted. To be fair, the transformation here is very similar to the original one, I think the only different part is making use of the "is weak" that is available here and not there, to overcome the "hedge is hedge". I didn't mind doing something too similar because in my head it'd already be a harder version because it would be mandatory (in the original it isn't) However it turns out it isn't mandatory even in this version, lel.

Crystal Cave, what a surprise. I like this world has re-remix levels, instead of entirely new levels. 'Lesser Guardians' makes me remind the first experience of Guardians in baba is you. I firstly misthought the main idea of original level is breaking UFO column to pass them... And that solution finally comes true! 'The Trio Again / Duo' and 'Out at the lake' is tricky as the original/remix levels did. Haha, yeah Lesser Guardians solution would not work on the original as it has an extra ufo. I'm pretty sure a lot of people try that when trying to figure out Guardians, but they only try it for 5 or 6 tiles instead of 7. I figured some ppl would probably not try idling to make the 7th one misalign so that they all are misaligned for the solution to work, so I thought this makes for a second extra.
Mountaintop contains only 9 levels but actually fun, especially 'What is BadBad'! My connector movements: th-cam.com/video/p7ROjMfN93g/w-d-xo.html And i didn't come up with that Floatiest Platforms solution haha, so i beated with (nearly) original game solution. I love it.
Oh nice solution for Connector. Yeah, my solution is supposed to be more straightforward, but I kept forgetting the setup here on the video haha. I really wanted Floatiest Platforms solution to be the only one. Originally I thought that the placement of the door rendered the old solution impossible, but it really doesn't, it just makes it a bit more complicated. But I guess I'd have to change the layout too much in order to get rid of that solution completely, and that would make the intended solution more obvious... So I just left it like that for now.
Volcanic Cavern is so good. I beated 'Trick door' with GHOST&KEY not facing wall is push (intended solution maybe?), so i'm surprised there's simple alternate solution. And groups - yeah, i really want there to be more levels in original game using GROUP, one of the coolest word in the game, but only 4 levels in cavern have it. So i'm so glad Badbad is you having more advanced levels with group, and group2!
Oh no! Haha That's not an intended solution. That'd be the base game solution. This stage used to have "ghost has not flag" instead, of "ghost has flag" in contrast with the original game. But there was one day I was testing some things and removed the not, but then I forgot to place it back... I need to fix that=p
@oliverkolossoski1434 lol i'm cheesed 😂 Since SWAP and GROUP is a bit jank (i didn't know 'ON/NEAR GROUP' means ALL group items, not just one... and 'Join the crew' win condition does not work when i have single rock&badbad... conditional group rules are weird :P), so i wondered whether i solved cavern levels with intended solution or not!
I didn't know You and You2 can move simultaneously while level is auto, and stacking text in Hostile Environment to enter ??? world is pretty cool. + At first, I thought bottom-right level as free win/bonus like original... mindblowing also.
Yeah, for some reason when "level is auto" is active you can stack text with you and you2. It does not work if level is not auto though...
One of my favorite world in original, and my favorite world & soundtrack in badbad is you as well! Automated Door and Entrophy is so good, nice job.

Apparently you cannot process your beatmaps like I did in the video, because then osu starts recalculating everything again from scratch. You should ask it to recalculate once and then leave it running on the background. It takes very long, but eventually the maps are gonna be ranked properly.
What? Why is keke moving twice there? Also, I cheesed it by doing "Keke has keke"
Oh well... I fixed this cheese on the github file, now the defeat blocks are actually weak blocks Anyway, the reason keke is moving twice is that when you stack push and weak, and form "keke is push/weak and move" you actually have formed two overlapping statements: "keke is push and move" and "keke is weak and move", each statement makes keke move once, and therefore it becomes twice as move.

I planned to take a break from baba until the editor came out, because I didn't want to make levels too similar to the ones that would come with it. But since the editor is taking too long I'm probably gonna resume creating levels, even if on a slower pace. I also have the boom, nextto and the halloween update to check and plenty other recently discovered interactions to work on

Not that I know of. At least it's not on the editor, but maybe there is a way of doing by messing the lua files on the \worlds folder

What happened at the end?
Level is win is read before level is defeat. And at the last stage, both the whole level and the lonely level which was originally ME are you. Since lonely level is defeat, the lonely level dies, however, since level is win is read before level is defeat, and since the whole level (which is you) was on the lonely level (which is win) you win.
That one feel satisfying to solve.
