Might be a daft question as I dont know much about VR but how do you work all the buttons on either keyboard or sim rig? Surely you cant see them with VR on?

I have been playing ET2/AT with Ouest 3, and it'a amazing. way more picture quality and performance than with Quest 2. I am also using VoiceAttack combined with telemetry server, for questions like how many hours to destination, set wiperts to automatic, open/close windows, truck status, remaining fuel, etc....

what did you set the graphics, its so smooth

that might work if the drivetrain simulation is realistic, like if you can feel the engine power through the rpm or if you can float gears. Visually it seem perfect and the world interaction is what ats/ets is lacking

I started on flat, but I only had one monitor. Moving the mouse around to look around or having the virtual mirrors up was also annoying. I then tried a head capture app on my phone, and it made it better but it was still meh. I then decided to try it on the OG Oculus Rift CV1. It was good, the freedom was amazing, and I loved the feel of it, but being an old headset, its resolution was bad, and reading nearly everything was pretty hard due to the lenses and lower res. I then got a Q3 and never looked back. Setup is always a pain, its easier to sit down and look at flat panel, but the little bit of work the headset makes you, is fine with the immersion it gives. I lock my FPS to 60 in game, and on Nvidia control panel, for ATS/ETS I set it to 59hz. In game I have shadow quality set to medium, and I can't remember the one setting but I have it set to 300% and the game runs well. My CPU is very old, i7 6700k, but my gpu is not bad at 3080ti. Still some stuttering but its not terrible. Any VR headset will be fine, if you have one or are ever thinking about getting one for this game alone, don't think about it just do it, you will not regret it.

It really depends on the rig specs cause for me -oculus works way smoother than -openxr. The best advice would be test both of them and decide for yourself

Can we use any other PCVR headset? Like Valve index or PSVR2 ? Or this is only possible on Oculus headset?

Does the game support VR right away or do I have to follow some steps to make it playable in VR ?

vr works for me but how do I stop my computer freezing. Everytime I load ets2 at a random point my game just crashes then my pc freezes. Please help me how to fix this (I've tried getting a different nvidia graphics driver)

dude i have a quest 2 laying around that has been collecting dust for the past 3 years, i've been playing ETS2 and ATS for so many years and for so long and i got trackIR for it for the immersion of it and i didn't even know it actually supports VR wtf gonna try this out tonight!

The game has nothing real, just the vehicles. They know how to do it, they just don't want to do it why not, just one DLC Realistic

Very useful video, much appreciated, since SCS is a sloppy and lazy company that makes millions from the game and still hasn't made a version with a native VR option to make life easier for virtual reality users

I can play on VR, but the graphics are so bad it is unplayable. ETS2 has a terrible VR implementation in terms of performance, the only thing that looks good is inside the cabin, everything else outisde is blurred and ultra low res, no matter if I set the graphics to ultra. =(

i have an issue atm, im trying to load it up as you say, it loads the game up but in the small TV looking screen, and not fully like yours was, any idea?

What are your pc complete specs? Like cpu, ram, graphics card. This helps your audience have a benchmark easily. You mentioned 3060. Is it a 8gb or 12gb 3060?

I’ve done everything but it still doesn’t play on VR. I’ve connected it via the link cable etc, still only see it on my normal monitor.

It wont take much. ATS/ETS2 are garbage simulators. The physical modeling of the ETS/ATS World is like something out of the 90s by geeks that have never once driven a truck let alone a real job.. The idea they are allowed to call themselves a "simulator" while completely ignoring things like Mass and momentum is almost fraud. Add that to the fact that the devs hate Americans makes it even sadder. In ATS you get every red light. In ETS2 you get every green light.

i did all the steps but when i open a save it doesnt appear on vr, just a flat screen in the oculus (like you arent playing on 1st person and you play with a screen inside of your oculus) can someone help me???

I play ATS only in VR…..I have a RTX4080 and I am constantly chasing frames….the change to 1.5 hurt, so I am hoping the fix this soon.

i really think SCS should make a simple setting for starting the game in ETS2/ATS many companies do this these days im not sure why SCS dont follow to actually have a VR setting
