Most of this videos don't show how to take that positive terminal off. It's not easy . It's stuck and you have to pry around it

So much missing information. Like the plastic grommet on the end of the old axle, does it go on the new axle? Because my new axle came with a metal ring that snaps into place where the plastic ring is supposed to be and I don't know if I'm supposed to try to force both of them on or just use one or what
