Woodworker Goes Metal | Building Steel Infeed and Outfeed Tables For My Tablesaw
Back at it! In preparation for my next project - a custom dresser - I discovered that I needed to invest in a new shop project. My tablesaw wasn't up to the task of handling the 7 foot 4/4 maple boards that I needed to join for the dresser's panels. After realizing that I need proper infeed and outfeed tables for the saw, I started thinking of design ideas. My wife recommended I use my new welder and make these tables from steel. I thought that was a great idea!
Building these tables from steel allowed me to make them rock solid. As a bonus, they will also make great welding tables. Follow along as I take on my first serious welding project. These identical tables were made from 1 1/2 inch, 14 gauge, square steel tube. The tabletops were made using 3/16ths steel plate. All in all, these things turned out great!

We're ON! // New House, New Projects
มุมมอง 2843 ปีที่แล้ว
This is a big moment! We bought a house in the Santa Ynez Valley - just north of Santa Barbara. This house comes with a ton of future projects! This area is a great mash up of Santa Barbara coastal California, vineyards, and lots of cows. I'll be diving right into new furniture as soon as possible. I'm really excited about the possibility of a more permanent shop setup. The heart of this channe...
Life Update! Goodbye Long Beach
มุมมอง 3804 ปีที่แล้ว
It's been a crazy couple of months! At the end of the summer, my wife and I packed up and left Long Beach. This was a tough decision, but we've decided to move closer to family, and closer to a place we love. I have so many great memories from Long Beach, and we're definitely going to miss being able to walk to our friends houses. My wife and I are currently searching for a house just north of ...
Crafting a WALNUT BENCH - Chic Mid-Century Seating
มุมมอง 7434 ปีที่แล้ว
This classy walnut bench was a joy to make. Made of black walnut with a cherry stripe, the wood is the star of this project. This bench will sit in an entryway, and it's equal parts stylish and practical. I made my first tapered legs for this project! While they were fairly easy to make, I think the end result is very nice. Finished with Danish Oil and two coats of PolyCrylic Follow along as I ...

How to Make a BIKE CRATE With a Custom Quick Release!
มุมมอง 24K4 ปีที่แล้ว
Here's a single day build of a utility bike crate made from scratch. My wife wanted to spice up her vintage Bianchi Advantage hybrid bike with a convenient storage crate. The whole project is made out of 12mm (1/2 inch) 9-ply baltic birch plywood. This is great stuff! Baltic birch is a very easy product to work with - it's easy to cut on a table saw and sands easily, but is strong and hard enou...
Coffee Organizer - Quick and Simple DIY Project
มุมมอง 3764 ปีที่แล้ว
This project for our coffee bar took a day to build and brought style and organization to our kitchen counter. This organizer is made from hard maple and cherry, finished with Danish oil and a coat of Polycrylic. This was an easy project using minimal tools - just a table saw, f clamps, jack plane, and orbital sander. Want to know more about me? Here's my channel introduction: th-cam.com/video/...

I’m using this as a jumping off point for building a number of different boxes for my e-bike to increase its utility. The first thing I’m going to do is keep the base raised in case I want to use the sides of the rack for panniers at the same time. Should be a fun project!

I bought an universal AVS adapter plate for my bike’s rear rack. It only costed $20 and has a quick relase built-in. It is also super light weight. Now I can fit any type of case, crate or basket prepared for the AVS system onto my bike, or I can buy an AVS adapter that can be mounted to any crate or basket I like.

While I thought you presented well on camera and it was nicely done, it `was too fast on the details and not enough explanation. I'm still a little unclear on the quick release and the plate you attach to the bike. I appreciate that it was a quick video, but I wish it were a little more focused on the "how to" aspect. Just my 2 cents, thanks for showing the project and posting.
