If you've got a controller I'm pretty sure it will let you switch back and forth at will based on where the last input came from. You'll find driving the speeder and flying the trailblazer much easier with the controller even if you need kb/M for everything else. Digital steering with toggle switches is never good for vehicles.

Classic game. Love seeing people enjoy it. This was one of the games that made me want a Xbox as a child. This, KOTOR 2 and both Halo games that came out for the original Xbox were the main games I had back then. Fusion Frenzy too, but that came with my Xbox and the whole family got together and had game nights. Good times. This game has a lot of good memories for me and I hope you enjoy all the twists and turns if this is your first go-around. If not? You should save before entering the enclave because sometimes there's a glitch where you lose the disguises and the Sand People attack you immediately upon entering their enclave.
