Hills Bible Church
Australia
เข้าร่วมเมื่อ 7 ธ.ค. 2016
We are a church family that consists of young and old with a mixture of many ethnic backgrounds. Hills Bible Church was formed in 2009 and moved to its current location in 2013. It is our mission to:
KNOW God’s Word (2 Timothy 2:15)
LIVE by God’s Word (1 Peter 1:22 - 2:3)
COMMIT to God’s work (Romans 12:1-2)
IMPACT God’s world (Matthew 28:18-20)
This carried out by making, maturing, and multiplying disciples of Jesus Christ in our local communities and to the least reached peoples of the earth. Hills Bible Church is a Reformed Baptist congregation, meeting at 5 Burwood Hwy, Wantirna (Melbourne School of Theology), in the Eastern Suburbs of Melbourne, Australia. We are robustly evangelical in theology, upholding the centrality of the gospel with a strong Bible teaching ministry. We are convinced that the Word of God alone can give you the “wisdom that leads to salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus” (2 Tim 3:15b).

The House of Bread | Ruth 2 (Timothy Stanton)
On Sunday 12 January, Associate Pastor Timothy Stanton continued the January summer series in Ruth, with 'The House of Bread' from Ruth 2.
Ruth is a story about redemption set during the time of the Judges. In the second chapter, Ruth and Naomi return to Bethlehem just as the harvest begins. Naomi’s response to their desperate situation is relatable: she is angry with God and blames Him. Ruth’s response, however, is surprising. Despite the hardship, she faithfully follows God and waits on Him. God provides for Ruth and Naomi through the generosity of Boaz. Boaz recognizes Ruth’s faith in God and acts to provide, protect, and welcome both her and Naomi into the community. Ruth’s faithfulness and Boaz’s generosity are powerful examples for us as Christians. Ultimately, God is like Boaz in His actions to protect us from sin’s misery, provide food for our souls, and welcome us into a relationship with Himself through Jesus Christ.
Main Point One: A Story about Two People Getting Bread
• Scene One: Empty stomachs, two responses (1:19-2:7)
• Scene Two: Boaz-a generous man (2:8-13)
• Scene Three: Ruth receives bread and a feast (2:14-16)
• Scene Four: Ruth shares her bounty with Naomi (2:17-23)
Main Point Two: Four Applications
• Application One: Be a Ruth and be a Boaz (1:19-2:9)
• Application Two: Jesus is our Boaz (2:8-13)
• Application Three: An invitation to the feast (2:14-16)
• Application Four: Hurt people hurt people, but loved people love people (2:17-23)
Conclusion-Where do you get your bread?

On Sunday 29 December, Pastor Craig Baxter delivered the final message of 2024 titled 'Don't Presume You Have Tomorrow' from James 4:13-17. Since we cannot presume we have tomorrow, God's people must make the best use of their time today and submit tomorrow's plans to the perfect will of God. Planning without God expresses arrogant presumption (vv13-14) - You don't know what tomorrow will bring...
