@@510caliguy check your fuel filter and fuel today’s diesel fuel is sometimes made of soy beans, and there’s algae that grows in this type of fuel. You have to treat the fuel with an algae agent that illuminates that when it’s in your fuel, it looks like a green slime or slimy. what happens is it causes the engine to go up and down in RPMs because it’s starving for fuel

@@510caliguy The amp meter take it to a shop that works on electric motors, or they specialize in welding machines as well that’s the best place to get it diagnosed

@@hillcresthayfarms9664 I think there is a difference production for the 68 model started in 67 to 68 and something changed in the PTO clutch pack the 1969 until 1976 on the clutch pack , I think the clutch pack is still the same until 1976 all the way up to the 9600 Ford Tractor. There is differences in the dual power clutch pack though. in 1972, the 8690 ,9600 the clutch pack for the dual power change the oiling system. They added an extra hole in the back for some reason, and a larger control valve for the high and low on the hydraulics for the dual power.

@@bantersarcforce I have a 68 that I am doing the pto clutch pack in and everything looks just like yours but I cant find a kit that states its for a 68 they all say 10/1969 and newer I am going to order a kit and see what happens, No one seems to know the difference not even my local dealer.

@bantersarcforce Oh. Maybe just use some metal L brackets with holes and save the hinges for something else. Good idea if that's all ya got though.

@@vivk202jz9 I would have to say it does need to be serviced. That band around. The clutch hub drive is probably worn out and something else could be wrong with it.. there’s a Spring in there. I think that controls that valve when you pull on it it pulls that valve open to let hydraulic flow and then when you close it that spring poles that element to close the valve for the hydraulics so somethings gone wrong. It needs to be service.

@@kevinbiko6659 the 300DLX is no longer made it was a diesel engine 300 amp maximum welding capacity for all welding processes that’s mig welding, TIG, welding aluminum, and on carbon steel or stainless and stick welding. The only machine that you can get from Lincoln now that does all of that is the GTX and it’s gasoline engine 250 amp and they’ve got some newer models than that one today. The machine loan is a little over $6250.00 that’s not, including all the accessories that go with it to do all the processes. To get a diesel engine in a welding machine like that today I’m not sure if it’s possible Miller Electric may have won the trailblazer.

@@bantersarcforce I found a used dlx under 1000 hrs just wondering if I should buy it with the bearing issue. I assume they all have it

@@kevinbiko6659 yes they will have that same issue in the bearing unless they’ve had it worked on previously. Ask a lot of questions when you talk to the person when you’re looking at the machine see if it runs and listen to it when you shut it down it’ll make a little screeching noise or you can hear it when it’s idling if you do buy it, I would have it repaired and fixed right away. I’ve put 8000 hours on mine.

Its between the dlx or a bobcat 250 diesel also same hours. Same price ​@@bantersarcforce

That rubber disk helps protect the reel And the sickle blade bar in case you were to take on a tree, limb or something and sheer that desk. It won’t stop the crimper rollers though if a rock gets in the rollers it’s driven by the clutch and that transfer gear box that’s a problem I’m having also if a rock gets into the crimper rollers I am breaking the yoke on the U joints. I wish that they built some kind of shear bolt there at the U joints, going to the crimper rollers, but they did not.

@@bantersarcforce I also have an older model 1209. It dose not have the rubber slip clutch the pulley is spline Can’t find that pulley anywhere or the 1219 would have it lol. Anyway I’m going to bolt it together with rubber in it. Thanks for the reply

@@ccgweb8017 with the top cylinder 3point hitch off it was easy to clean the sludge out of the axle and inspected the rearend axle I bought it used. Thanks for watching my video.

Some older welding machines that the voltage is controlled by engine speed. It will affect the heat on the puddle the higher your OCV open circuit voltage meaning that your RPMs are high and your 0CV is higher than the machine recommends sometimes those machines run really hot when your RPMs are up, make sure the settings on your OCV is correct think of it like mig welding you turn your output, control voltage control up It increases your voltage or the heat in your puddle and your wire speed controls the amperage when your stick welding that’s kind of what you’re doing you mess around with the RPMs to get that puddle to be fluently running the way you want but don’t go over the recommended OCV that the manufacturer recommends and you have to test your OCV with a very sophisticated voltage tester on the host of the world and she negative and positive

If your stick welding with the machine that you plug in the wall, don’t mess with it let a professional work on that

Yes, it is possible on the 5610 on your left-hand side when you’re sitting down looking forward under the lever that you turn the PTO on, there is an adjustment rod that is threaded and there’s a jam nut that goes over the rod that is sticking out take a screwdriver to that shit rod that has a slot in it and turn it clockwise just a little bit and then tighten that jam nut bach

Yes, below the PTO lever there is a adjustment rod that sticks out of the transmission. You need a 9/16 box and wrench and a large screwdriver tighten up the rod clockwise about an eighth of an inch starting then tighten the jam nut back.

The metal was only 1/4” thick and the weld was a single fillet small bead the weld cracked away from the metal

The 7000 Ford is similar to the 5000 and the 6000 until 1973 . It may be possible to tighten the band by removing the hydraulic pump. If you cannot reach the adjustment for the ban you’re gonna have to split the tractor and replace the clutch pack hub break ban.

The part numbers are the exact same bearing that Lincoln put in it. There was a outer ring that a machine shop made that slipped in place first on the frame that the outer part of the bearing would slide into.

He did say something I’m not sure if he knows why or who started it . Some of us here in Indiana have talked about it years ago welders that are pipefitter gas, Distribution, Welders and a lot of people think it’s because of who your helper was. so maybe that’s why they gave it the nickname Hoosier.
