It might be easier to buy a replacement, but in my case that would take way more time than what it took me to repair it.
Update (it's about time, isn't it :))

Great job! Do you have a schematic?
greetings from Lebanon 🇱🇧 we are currently living a situation almost like yours I hope you are ok
the video is very time wasting. pert track is very high.
A horizontal line is called a vertical collapse and is almost always a vertical ic chip. Recap almost never fixes this problem
Video is not good
Cool
Any mod to make it more long range ?
hope your okay man.
Thanks I will.
estupendo circuito amigo un saludito amigo
Goooooooood Mj
so does it work? What was the problem?
Sir i cant find 360pf
That board looks so small and simple compared to my Jeep radios which are more complex. Guess you don`t have any input on those from Part 1. Bounce your tongue off your top front teeth and say the word THE and THERE instead of ZEE and use the front of your mouth to say ALRIGHT instead of using the back of your throat to gargle it out.
I have some factory Jeep 1988-1992 AM/FM Cassette Players that need repairing. There are two that either the left or right channel has gone out. One with the volume knob maxed out but need just a little bit more volume. One with a high squeal from speakers with no AM/FM reception. The rest have inoperative tape modules. They are the type that draws the tape in from the short end with a motor you can hear running but it will not draw the tape in and seat it down into position. When you manually push it in, you have to pull the tape out with needle nose pliers.
I really enjoyed this video. I also liked your dry sense of humour 😊.
How will this circuit protect the lightbulbs from the high voltage of the negative half cycle?
I want to power an arduino with 5 V straight from the magneto. Would this circuit still be possible just by changing the zener diode and adding a capacitor? I guess I would also need a load resistor for the magneto since the arduino wont draw much current and the coil would spike up to very high voltages?
If you plan to power just Arduino, it's better to regulate the output of magneto higher than 5v, then drop it with additional linear regulator. If otherwise, spikes on the power rail will make you go nuts when debugging.
@@mrjohhhnnnyyy5797 Alright thats true. Can I use your curcuit for that? I dont have a battery installed on my bike, can I install a capacitor for smoothing instead?
I sure hope you are okay my friend. I think about you often. We love our Ukrainian friends
Платку переходную не можете здесь выложить?
Excellent job.❤
Still not stable ps, just playing around with rc value on compensation...
Wow
what about crt no pwr on no standby light no clicks...its a 2002yr toshiba crt....main fuse on ps is ok.
Nice Shango reference.
Where are you my friend? We missed you so much
Hi. Do you know (have measuerd) what is the maximum p-p voltage that the tacho generates at high-full speeds? That 200 Ohm limiting resistor seems too low for the opto's. (when pot is turned all the way up) Also the 470K - 47u time constant seems way too large for an 50Hz mains voltage? You mention in the video that you can easily stall the motor at low to medium speeds. That is not the case with TDA1085! Even at the lowest speeds it's impossible to stall it. Major drawback that it laks tacho failure/pot interruption and over current protection. Thanks.
I really hope you are alright, I am really worried.
I hope you're safe and well. If you do get a chance if would be great to know you're doing okay, even if you don't have any way of making videos right now.
Notice the time to charge up the tube itself is quite long. A great hobby but the aging electronics (or the picture tube itself) suggests not long before the TV is to be recycled for environmental safe waste disposal from landfills. When I look at TV times to warm up on relic TVs ... Its a deterrent to paying more than a worthwhile amount for the sellee any value.
Hello. Cam You give me the pcb schematic please. With respect, Lucian
I wonder how are you doing since no updates from you for a long time.
Mr Johhnnnyyy, do you have bare PCBs available?
I only just found your videos and was enjoying them. I really hope you are safe and well. This video was the most honest report from inside Ukraine and it was hard to hear. I pray you will make it through this and will be back on TH-cam making more videos
Simple modification that worked well! The most complicated thing is to find one step-up converter that still works with AA (1.5V), instead of the usual Li-Iin ones, now commonplace.
Thanks for sharing the experience, including the bad one with a charged Cap. I’m testing different ESR circuits to build my own (*) and found your assembly of that Ludens one. Could you comment some points for me? (1) Why not to use 2x diodos back to back as charged-capacitor protection? Wouldn’t the Vpp be low enough to avoid conduction under normal operation? (2) What is the mid-point ESR value in the galvanometer? (3) What is the ESR for some initial displacement as 10~20% scale? (4) What is the average consumption (mA) or how long a 9V (alkaline) battery lasts? (5) After 6years, would you build it again, or choose another circuit? Could you point it for us? (*) So far, I built (on protoboard) to test: #1 Russian one based on Colpitts oscillator that operates at 1.5V (nice), gives a nice senoid of 17KHz (modified to 100KHz), but ESR scale seems to be not so predictive, quitting the oscillations erratically/intermittently if R > 15 Ohm. #2 NE555 + NPN to drive an 8R resistor under low-voltage (100mVpp), amplify its output (1 stage transistor AC) and rectify it to shown in the galvanometer. Seems promising, from 4.5V to 12V, but scale needs stable voltage and power consumption is not ideal for battery operation. #3 Swagatam’s site posted one based on Joule Thief and an OpAmp. I tried some variants as it operates under lower voltage (< 5V), but did not like the oscillator performance (F ~ 20KHz), with amplitude and waveform too inconsistent even for a Go/NoGo instrument. #4 Jay-Diddy’s circuit, using 5 transistors (or a newer 7 transistor with short Cap detection), promises to have center scale at ~3R - didn’t build it yet, but seems to be good in blog’s comments. #5 A 4 OpAmp (TL084) based circuit, quite popular here in Brazil and being ‘commercially sold’ in local sales sites. Operated under 9V, seems to have center scale at 10R, and also detects shorted Caps. Not built one (yet). Curious to hear your thoughts, Thank you !
Hi I don't know why putin is allowed to get away with invading because england and America seems to get involved with other country's issues. I hate war I don't know how you must be felling I've never been in you situation. I'm hoping and wishing you all the best for the future. keep your head up. I hope you are OK and alive. if you can reply to this message I would like you to it would be really great to know that you are doing ok👍🙂
Hard to watch this now. Hope you are safe. Maybe you can respond and let everybody know you are safe?
Thanks for sharing. I am going to receive a similar kit soon.
Software link pls bro
Don't curse, God does not like that. I like your humor.(I'll won't go out on the street anymore - too dangerous!) I always leave the power on as much as possible when working with electricity...Just use your brains and don't touch two things at the same time. I like your accent too! My problem is a led light with ballast, the light works with another ballast, the capacitor at the beginning of the ballast is only 300V. (yes - is shortcuts) The rest I can't read - my eyesight is not that good. And I never went to electricity school... So? change that first capacitor?
hi sir...sir can you explain about first transformer..i mean about (wire diameter and wire legnth ) ??? and thankyou for make this video
Can I ask you about the 10 ohms in parallel and 10 ohms in series on the secondary of the transformer. How much did you finally modify these two resistors? Thank you
I didn't change the value of those. I once had to replace them when I tested the charged cap
@@mrjohhhnnnyyy5797 Thanks
hi sir i saw your video and i want to say you are perfect...bravo
Nice
No video and audio comming out on ctr tv. Voltage is present.
This is really hard to listen to, especially 6 months later and not knowing how things have turned out for you. I can only hope that you are alive, safe, healthy, despite the horror your country has endured.
А как ты сравнивал какие ножки не стыковались пин ту пин?
Great video, best example I've seen of someone using a H bridge and tl494 do you have a schematic available to view?
