Spoiling My Senior Cat with Crocheted Things
Make sure to check out destashco.com a creative reuse craft thrift store!
Today I made crochet patterns to create a crochet cowboy hat and a crochet cat toy. Cat toy pattern can be found in the video's context so make sure you keep watching.
I wanted to spoil my cat with surprise toys and accessories. I love giving my cat the world and because of her senior age it is even more important to me to prove that for her. I'm really happy with the cat toy I made, and I think with the right cat, they would love it too. I'm just not sure this cat likes it as much...
I made the cowboy hat using a free crochet pattern that is by Cat Craft Crochet. The pattern is called Captain Fritzy's Tricorn Hat. Thankfully this pattern was easy enough to read and pattern hack into what I want. I love how the cowboy hat turned out!
Hope you enjoy the video, and I'll see you next time!

❤Your channel and shopping at Destash Co store! ❤Your creativity, positive, & encouraging attitude. 😊 Chloe, Quinn, and Olive are totally adorable and are excellent special guests. 😊 🎉So happy that I am able to support a fellow Texan by viewing channel and shopping in your store!! (I am a Porter, Tx native who recently moved to Ca desert for health) I am chomping at the bit to see what to buy next month at Destash Co store!!!
Awe! Thank you so much for the support! I don't know if you're interested in fabrics, but we have a ton being uploaded this week!
That's so cute!!!
Thank you!!!
A little sombrero for the boss. Love the purrrrs
The purring is the best part 100%
The purring and cat presence alone made me subscribe.
Awe, thank you!
This is such a good idea!
I LOVE how they turned out! So helpful in keeping your stash organized! I want to label EVERYTHING!
Most adorable bat there is!
My grandmother sewn these in 1980's.
Hiya! Thanks so much for watching! If you're interested in any of the yarn or downloading your very own yarn labels, make sure to click the links in the description!! Filling out your own yarn labels is so very satisfying, so thank you for allowing me to share this with you!
the yogi cat is sooo cute!! really want to make one for myself but i don't think i have enough patience for crocheting all pieces seperately then sewing them, plus the embroidery it's too much work :(
It does take a bit of work, but with a cozy show and a couple hours you could have a really cute yoga cat! The cat and the tissue box are still my favorite things I've made this year :)
Peaches and cream yarn is sold out! The rest of the yarn shown in this video are still available. :))
Oh, this looks so much fun!! Gonna try these!
You must make the bilbocatch! It really is a great toy and the pattern I used (credit in the description) was so thorough and helpful! Glad you liked the video!
This is so cute!
Ahhh!!! Thank you so much!! I love how it turned out! If you want a more descriptive process, please check out my full video :))
Hi! How do you like the music? I'm pretty iffy on it. I was trying something new and I'm not sure if I like it. Anyway, thanks for watching my video! It's nice of you to stop by :) Edit: I have started writing closed captions in English. I'm not through the whole video yet, so they stop about mid-way. I appreciate your patience while I complete them :)) Edit... pt2? Closed captions in English are done! Please enjoy by turning them on in the video settings :)
Cute couch tissue cover. I have never made one...but I want to now.
You must! It's my favorite thing I've made this year. So cute!
The Cat with the yoga mat is Adorable🩷Where’d you find the pattern?
It a free pattern called Yogi Cat by Lizette By on Ravelry! It's super cute, just has a ton of pieces lol.
You do awesome work, love how you added a ruffle to the bottom of your tiny couch🩷
Awe, Thank you! I had so much fun making that couch. Who knew something so adorable could be made for a tissue box?
Nice
Adorbs!
Thank you!!! Make sure to check out my full video for more cute things I made in June!! (for example: a posable yoga cat!)
The yoga cat turned out super cute :D, love the tissue sofa too, cat sofa next? xD
A. Cat. Sofa! I need it!
Ooooh! Love yoga cat! You could use magnets in the paws for more posability!
I love that idea! I'll keep it in mind for the next posable amigurumi!!
This is my second time hearing about one of these bowl, I didn't think though that you putt them in microwave :o, I thought it was for putting your hot bowl in it so you wouldn't be holding the already warm bowl xD Also, the sewn one looks super cute :D
Yeah! That why it's sooo important for them to be made of 100% cotton! They are a very cool invention!
Love the cat bed, my cats don't know it yet, but they need it xD also, if you never get to use your pompoms, can always make a pompom bouquet :D
Yes! the cat bed is one of the most useful things I've ever made. Just make sure to take lots of breaks and stretch your hands often because 4 yarns held together is no joke.
I was thinking of maybe making one and felting it for the structure, but I've ever only feltet knits, have you ever tried felting crochet? 😮
Ooohhhhh I haven't!!! If you do, please please please tell me your results! That is such a good idea!
Hi everyone! Skip to 2:00 for the haul.
I wish I was as good as you when embroidering xD my amigurumi game would be killer, but for now, I make stuffies with dopey faces xD
Awe, thank you! I appreciate your confidence in my skills, but I fear I'm not quite as good embroidering amigurumi faces either. The bumpy texture of crochet stitches feels impossible to sew on. I can barely attach the arms and legs to a figure lol. Maybe I should look into felt faces :D
Yeah, sewing is a struggle xD I have never tried felting, wouldn't it require to glue those parts to the amigurumi? I'm too paranoid to trust that those parts would stay where they should xD
Ooohhh, I don't know! I would have to do more research. Because you're so right, just glue would be wayyyyy to sketchy. I'll look into it for my next amigurumi for sure though.
Have you ever tried dropping a stitch where the issue is and just reknitting it using crochet hook? You won't have to frog the whole thing just the column of that one stitch :D Also, I definitely understand the struggle of finishing big projects XD blankets, shawls, scarves, it's very repetitive and gets boring very fast also... Never want to use them either xD for the hats, maybe a chunky 1x1 rib with a brim might suit you better :D small beanies without brim looks terrible on me too xD
Honestly, dropping a stitch (even if helpful) sound so scary... I think I would want more practice with it before diving in on a huge project like this shawl haha. I really like your idea of the chunkier brim. I think for next month's hat I'll make the brim long enough to fold over so it's nice and chunky :) Thank you for the ideas!!
Are we going to see some bell sleeves WIPs soon? xD
Should I?? 👀👀
Definitely :D baby steps to sweater!
The child's sweater was super relatable xD I also wanted to make a sweater, but the adult sizes intimidated me so I made a bunch of baby clothes for no good reason xD but it was xD If anything now I know I can knit a bunch of different clothes if I WANTED to xD
I totally understand the crowded feeling when using DPNs xD If you ever want to challenge yourself with DPNs I recommend making a knit amigurumi xD nothing will ever feel as crowded xD
Oh! I am totally not ready for knit amigurumi, it's sooo intimidating!! Maybe I'll be safe and start with a blob creature ;)
And bulky yarn xDD edit: It just came to me that you could also knit clothes for amigurumi if you still haven't mentally prepared yourself to knit an adult sweater xD
