When we visited, it seemed cliquey. Lots of fast food for such a small town. There was a strange amount of traffic. I guess there aren't enough roads. Cute place in some spots though

I live in Portland Tennessee I've been living here for 6 years. It's a really nice town with nice people I live at Autumn wood apartments.

Portland is an awful town, one you can't easily get out of.. I hate it here and am stuck here...stay away it's small and quiet and there is nothing to do. The town is not growing and it is outdated...it is not progressing with the times at all almost nothing to do for work except factory and fast food.

Not good to retirees seeing your retirement income is taxed

Thinking about moving to bg in about 2 years with my girlfriend and 2 kids. My job is getting a new plant in scottsville. I'm excited to get out of wisconsin but scared to find a good place for the young kids

Great video Adam. Gallatin is a cool town with so do, so many good restaurants and you’re right, lots of traffic too. I take 25 to my Gallatin office, such a gorgeous drive, great way to start and end my day, driving through 25. I love Bowling Green, I just LOVE it. But the traffic can be godawful at times. We have grown faster than the infrastructure and too many people are too glued to the phones and don't pay attention. Also, they speed and weave in and out of traffic like they are reliving Dale Earnhardt's glory years.

Needs to update this, movie theatre has fallen thru, up for sale. Cat Fish House and Etta area both out of business. Should have mentioned Larry’s, best breakfast and meat and three in Springfield. Springfield needs more things for young people.

I bought a 30 farm in southern Kentucky with barns and a large farm house in need of some light repairs, for what a house and lot would cost me in Nashville , down side is its in middle of nowhere with a long drive to BG or Nashville.

Once I am retired from LA, I will move to Kentucky the next day, BET!!

My paternal grandparents were both from Springfield, TN, but moved away family now located out West. My great-GREAT-grandparents must be buried there somewhere, but we don't know where🙁.

I grew up in White House and left in like 2016-2017 because of family and money problems but from what I remember from Elementary school up to my freshman year it was a good town. The last big thing I remember that my family was happy for was the Burger King coming to the town.

I lived in Owensboro and Robards but TN is cheaper overall in TN as we have no state income tax and also KY taxed us every year on our vehicles and on RVs. You paid sales tax when you bought it and you paid your tag every year, but KY taxes you year after year on your cars which is ridiculous. Plus, I love Eastern TN, it is so pretty around Chattanooga which is where we moved to and salaries are higher in TN. Right now so many people are moving to TN it’s too expensive for Tennessean’s to buy a home in there own state as people are flooding in here from CA, MI, NY, NJ and FL, so KY land is much cheaper.
