This is the the full video of our flight from Green Bay, Wisconsin to Oshkosh, Wisconsin for AirVenture 2024.
I have a shorter video that starts just before Fisk and takes you into the runway. This video starts in Green Bay with our preflight briefing and game planning.
From there you will see our flight to join the arrival, which is starting at Green Lake, and then the bad news that they are putting us in the hold to let the Cessnas in. The Cessnas were early this year and that resulted in us flying a lap around the lakes at 1,800 feet.
We were surprised to get a traffic alert both times we flew by a crop duster who was doing his thing right near Ripon. I suppose for him this was just another day.
Ultimately we negotiated runway runway 27... listen for Dave as he asks for Runway 27 after we are assigned runway 36. The controller gives us some specific instructions if we want 27 and asks us if we think that's safe. Dave replies "safe enough!"
