This game series in particular just hits me perfectly. It's the epitome of what gaming can do as a story telling device. A lot of people that don't game will unfortunately never understand the value of the media in that context. Interaction with these characters make them far more personal than reading them in a book or watching them on a screen.

I wholeheartedly agree. I've always preferred more single player story-driven games than multiplayer ones. Surprisingly, even with how popular games have become and shifted out of the "only dorks play games" realm, I still encounter people that are surprised that I play games for the stories. I remember when my wife first saw me playing The Last of Us (she's not a gamer), and she thought the cutscene I was watching was an animated movie. She was shocked when I told her nope, this is a video game. She actually ended up watching me play the rest of the game, just so she could watch the cutscenes. lol You hit it on the head that this type of storytelling hits so much different because of the interactive nature of the medium. It's so much more personal when it feels like you have a vested interest in the characters, and that in a way, what's happening in the story is happening to you.

Appreciate all the feedback throughout it. It's always amazing to hear how someone else gets through stuff and celebrate the victories as a community. This series was a LOT of fun to put together, there were times I wasn't sure if I had the skill to take out some of these enemies, age slows down the reflexes, but I got through it. I'm watching a few people who pushed the brutal setting and holy crap those guys are really good players!

I know, right?! I've watched a few of those videos of folks taking on Dracula on Brutal, and it's impressive to watch. Just thinking the whole time "not me." lol

I think the strat is to either stay closer to him and learn the signs of his melee proximity attacks or to keep the distance and bait the grab saving dash for those times. It seems the late fights in this game are 50% watching the boss as carefully as you can while 50% saving dash for the right time. Adam's just tough to watch the boss and handle the perimeter things. I recruit Jokestir to finally get him, but I'm going back to solo him off series now.

Appreciate it so much man, thank you! I do hit a wall in the next episode tho, you're build with it being tanky and higher chance for leech is superior to what I've hodge podged together so far. I think you'll end up a lot better than I faired in the long run for sure.

They almost always seem to be in the teens, rarely do I see one in the 20's. That said they are kill on sight to try and make more rare bloods appear. One day the dream of the succubus with a red aura will spawn, and I will find her! Who we kidding, never gonna see it, but it's okay to have a goal hah.

Oooh that's why he's got the ??, makes total sense. Also you have to be correct on him roaming, because I've come across him while farming in almost every single zone I've been in. It almost feels like he's either stalking...or taunting me! lol. Series spoiler some (2 episodes not uploaded yet) I'm going after the 3 main big boys, if I can't manage them solo I'm recruiting in Jokestir to help me out since he hasn't killed Belmot, Adam or Dracula yet either.

Good luck with the big boy hunt! I've only run into Simon twice, so I guess I've just been really lucky. Both times I saw him, I immediately noped out of there. lol. I just defeated the spider queen and Ben the wanderer for the first time (what a pain in the a** he was), and I'm only gear level 64, so I've still got a ways to go. And while I was chasing down Ben, I ran into the Behemoth V Blood that's up in the 80s level. By the time I ditched him, Ben's health had reset and I had to start all over. And somehow, I didn't die during all that.

@@SmagsRUs Haha, man the toils of finding the random high levels nestled in with the low level areas. I will not spoil my latest video (ep 21 when it drops) but you will definitely get a kick out of that one based off of your current experiences.

@@oldmangaming7957 u should try lethal company or content warning although I recommend playing in a privite game there are modders and exploits on both games but I love them

Yeah this game has a lot of weapon ambiguity it seems, at least that's how it felt on trying a blind playthrough. The NG+ I'm looking ahead a little more on what to use as more of a best in slot within my playstyle kind of thing. It's definitely an adjustment going from block block block to more of a dodge dodge block but I'm hoping to view the fights from a different angle so it'll be fun to change it up I think.

It's a Lie or Truth question so there is no wrong answer. No is the Lie, Yes is the Truth, the key comes no matter the answer so your ending doesn't have to be ruined for it. It's a well thought out moment in the game, which this title has in spades. So far this is one of my all time favorites!

Yeah I feel a bit clunky in combat and it's 100% my fault I know it. The phase shift I'm starting to realize more and more as movement. I'll definitely start looking around for more opportunities with it. I also accidentally solved my issue with the ghost when I panic phased past her, I just need to make it more reflexive each time I hear her appearance scream from here out. Thanks for the tips!

I'm with you 100%. Pretty just through this episode and next she's responsible for more jump scares than all of Poppy Playtime combined. It's the dev's sneaky way of getting you unable to trust anything haha.

Ahh, gotcha. I was going to keep the locker location in the back of my mind all the time. Unfortunately I already read somewhere (was only a light spoiler for me) that the safe spots get pretty sporadic at times and I will end up being caught once or twice. The article said to save often, but since I can easily just jump cut for you guys I'm not gonna sweat the saves as much.

Yeah I'm obviously only barely into it, but it seems like the world of this one is going to be considerably larger than the previous.

I will likely do a playthrough of Detroit Become Human at some point. Seemed like it was a solid game.

This comment reflects a controversy that ripples among my friends haha! I am old so I am all about the cure, and maybe stuff as recent as sunny day real estate on the emo scene. Didn't South Park have the episode that classified Cure as more goth than emo, so you are more correct. MCR fits the emo scene better than the Cure does.

Haha yeah. Juggernauts are intimidating those first few you run into. Holidays took me off the series a bit at around Ep 16 or so, but I'm looking forward to rolling back full swing into it with the New Year! Yeah poor Dickson man. Wish I could say we knew her well, but she was a total newbie character to us. Does mean I don't feel too bad about losing her tho, there's a few survivors later that I'd feel a little gut shot about losing them hah.

Yeah our goal is to play through on Survivor to get the builds up and running with easier difficulty then clear through Veteran. That said our rust is strong so who knows if we'll get in shape enough to manage a Veteran difficult run.

I've thought about doing a solo series with HC. Good news is it might be the shortest one on the channel, like 3 episodes max lol. I'd have to set up a try and try again goal like we have with this series. Gotta make it at least to "X" boss or something like that.

Appreciate the kind words. The game is more fun than I thought it was going to be. I'm still learning a lot of the mechanics surrounding things. This series has plenty more to go. I make a ton of mistakes but it's fun to learn when the stakes of losing a survivor at any minute are there. Hope to keep entertaining you for some time to come!

The crazy part is my video doesn't do it anywhere near the justice it deserves. At 1080p it's okay looking, but man is it gorgeous on the monitor. The story is top of the line as well. I cannot recommend this game enough. Well worth the playthrough.

@@user-pt7qv9ir8x I've messed with Red Dead some. I'll have a playthrough on that for sure soon. Red Dead lets you behave on an open world in nearly any fashion you can (GTA5 in a Western Setting) while this is very much scripted. Red Dead is quality gameplay and a decent story, but Senua's Sacrifice story wise is one of the top tier games I've ever been exposed to.

The game is really good. Does a couple things. Has the creepy vibe, the jump scares at times, but doesn't overdo it. On top of it all it carries a very solid story line that the more you think about the deeper it gets. It's a really solid game, gratz the the developers on making a game that stands the test of time.

He's definitely growing on me. Hopefully he will endure as the series goes on.
