The only B29 left flying is shown returning from a flight to Addision Airport in Dallas, TX on Saturday, June 30, 2012. This was the day that the radio ops position was dedicated in a special ceromony.

We are fortunate that this tutorial is now on record, so nice to see this chap explain something which he spent so much time understanding. This machine was a wonder of its time. Thank you for educating us.

What a wealth of knowledge. I wish there was an uncut version somewhere, because he was getting into some really interesting topics in a few spots that the scene cut (additional taps on the modulation transformer, the purpose of the various connectors on the side). But still very useful info! I’ll be working on getting one of these back on the air.

What could I tell you? We were tech brats in the 50's if our fathers or b relatives who had their tickets only knew what we were doing.....🤣🤣🤣🤣

In the 50's an ART-13's in New or almost new condition could be had for like $25-$35. So you father or I nuclear would buy one and build a big power supply. But us kids quickly found out that the ART-13 has the AM RADIO Band. So all you needed was a long wire antenna. One of our parents has gotten the ntenna matcher box. And you could become The local Alan Freed R&R DJ Or get on the air on Sunday.morning and drown out all the preachers pretending to be a demonic voice. Or having your own "Talk show" where we would make "remarks" on local girl's "attitudes" or comment on who's car was faster or announcing results of local street races.

LOL YOU'd think Collins could have put a disconnect in the "blank" for switching the plate cap to protect it.
