Correction... The research vessel is the David Attenborough..... my mistake!
Have you considered doing a video on the sad decline of Birkenhead as a town, especially Grange Road and Grange Road West? On a Saturday, it's like a ghost town now.
Just found this, appreciated the footage of Lairds, where I started my working life. Like others, I left the yard and Birkenhead when the future started looking bleak. It was a big wrench for me but the idea of wife+baby+no job was too much to contemplate. So sad to see what has happened to the town since.
Use to work ther monks ferry that's changed. Good video mate
nice hotel. I have booked in for my wife and son.
Mint choc chip pls
How great we once were😢
I’m one of those thousands of locals who were unfortunate enough to reach adulthood just as Thatcher chose “..managed decline..” for Merseyside along with Tebbits GET ON YOUR BIKE quote so joined the third of of the city’s population and moved away from everything I loved and seeing this wonderful upload frankly brings back the resentment and anger we felt back then . Best wishes.
Ditto via Germany, Australia, Scotland, Liverpool and New Zealand (since 2008) but always a Birkenhead boy. Dad and brother served their time in Lairds and I had summer holiday jobs in the West Float dry dock caulking a fishing smack at 11 years old. All but my immediate family (all Scousers) still on Wirral. Thanks for the post 👍
Dalyan is not in southern Turkey. It’s located in western Turkey.
Actually it is located on the southwestern coast of Turkiye east of the Datca Peninsula.
@@Ken-e5g It claims that it is in “southern” Turkey. It’s funny to see gringos make up these as they see fit. Adana, Antakya, or maybe Antalya could be considered “southern” Turkey but a location on the western coast of the Anatolian peninsula makes it in “western” Turkey. Yes, southwestern Turkey could be more accurate.
Well done, my friend.
Both grey ships are Royal Fleet Auxiliary Ships (RFA), not warships such as type 42,s etc.
Shame nothing new being constructed on the slip , surely they can or should have put new sheds in place and built type 26 frigates there also not just in Scotland….
Nice to see you had a great time. Thought I would add a bit about the hotel. We got back 12th May so avoided the school holidays and can agree that the hotel is spotless. We stayed in the self catering apartments Cerro Mar Colina, part of the same group set up the hill from the hotel and it was very well equipped and again spotless with it`s own 2 pools plus a tunnel link to the larger pools and treatment rooms. Just like Spain the electrics here made me smile especially in the bathrooms. Other than no microwave and sketchy wifi the apartment was very good and seemed safe (gated) and easy access by lift if needed. Reception and cleaners were great, you can tell the place is well managed.
Excellent trip, thank you for sharing.
Thank you for a poignant video - Debussy's music was a perfect accompaniment.
Claire de Lune is one of my favorite pieces....
It is. Saw it launched
An RFA?
Wonderful! Many thanks.
Wonderful performance, great playing!
Not really Garry. It's the machine that's clever, not me. But thanks anyway.
The ship is the Sir "DAVID" Attenborough not Richard ??
Flip.... You are so right. My appologies.
Nice video. Thanks. The Two ships are replenishment at sea (RAS) vessels, transferring fuel, munitions, and stores from one ship to another while under way.
Thanks for that. You never stop learning eh!
It's two RFA. FORT VICTORIA AND RFA TIDERACE
Many thanks.
great video Brian, thank you for posting despite what mogs23 thinks . . . . . . .
That's a rfa replenishment tanker type 42 destoyer u fuckin clue less the last type 42 was decommissioned around 12 years ago
❤Brian
Going there in 6 weeks time
stop strangling the cat, horrendous
Thank you so much for your gracious comment. I'm glad I could bring a little joy to your very busy life.
@@briandillon9503 you welcome, i got more joy from watching a blank screen than ur stupid attempt at playing the instrument
Самый красивый курорт Турции Мармарис. Отдыхала в сентябре прошлого года. Прекрасный отель. Уютный номер. Вкусное питание. Заход в море отличный.
Don’t see many complaints here
in 3 weeks and 6 days we will be there.
@@1980_LFC we just came home from Ideal prime. i did not know how you look, so maybe we have seen eachother at the poolbar ,or at breakfast or dinner. i was there with my daughter. i hope you had just like us a great time at the hotel. we had no complains about the hotel. it was great. we will recommend it, and we will return

I much prefer Portugal to Spain after staying here
Proper pro scousers lar probably do a degree in scouse accentual parody
Liverpool is a Truly magnificent city one thing that not just lets it down but in fact destroys it is that bloody accent you look at it one of the most charismatic beautiful cities on earth then here he comes soft arse with that silly parody of an accent I live there have done all my life but let any of them near a microphone and they all turn into a self deficating parody aye aye aye they all start auditioning for Harry Enfield I wouldn’t be surprised if half of the professional scousers really speak with public school accents cause I’m as scouse as they come allways referred to Scotland road as Scotland road but the pro scousers allways refer to it as scotty lar even though they never been there
The best and most professional video of the waterfront I've ever watched. Well done Brian, I really enjoyed that, thanks.
Excellent vid 👍
That must have been surreal to be going up Babadag after there have been so many changes, then not flying off! It's marvelous how they cater so well to us pilots, hope some other places take the hint ;)
Great video and commentary, what time of the year was this as Im thinking og going for Christmas.
Love it! Great footage of Liverpool's iconic waterfront. Shot beautifully.
Thanks Dave.
Best viewed in high definition 1080p if you can.
Great work, its not underexposed like most of the footage I've viewed... what drone are you using?
Hi David. This was shot with a mavic 2 pro with Hasselblad head. A little editing was done with Premier Pro, mostly just to trail the car headlamps in one of the shots. One day I will get shots that I'm happy with......
@@briandillon9503, any ideas what iso and aperture …settings you used?
@@davidbentick Hi David. I'm not exactly sure, but I think it was probably F2,8 with an ISO of 100 and a pretty low shutter speed and frame rate. Movement should be kept restricted due to the low frame rate and shutter speed. Are you a drone pilot yourself?
@@briandillon9503 no, I’ve worked with DSLR Cameras in the past. I’ve been thinking of purchasing a drone for sometime now. I think the Mavic 3 has better capabilities of night time photography…? I know there are better drones, like the DJI inspire… but for entry level, the Mavic 3 sounds good.
Wonderful video, my friend 🙂 Antonio
