Music duo Joselyn & Don live at Grand Annex Music Hall
Joselyn & Don are a modern folk/Americana duo whose engaging performances feature finger-picked guitar and tenor ukulele. Their voices shine through with strength and vulnerability as the duo invite the audience to join in on their journey. This "sizzle reel" features clips from their November 23, 2024 show at The Grand Annex Music Hall in San Pedro, CA

Joselyn & Don's 2020 debut album "Soar" and 2022 EP "Seeds & Bones" have been warmly received by critics and independent radio worldwide. Their latest project, due for release in 2025, chronicles love, loss and the search for home on the back roads of the American West. The duo's acoustic songs draw comparisons to Gillian Welch and David Rawlings, while their soulful folk-rock material would be right at home in the 1970’s Laurel Canyon scene.

Beautiful song and melody, but historically they have it wrong, If they immigrated in 1929, as the song says, The Great Northern Railroad had long been completed, that happened in 1893. Yes there was work on spur lines, but the railroad built by James, J. Hill was already through the Hi-Line of Montana.
Thanks for listening! Yes, I think they probably did work on a spur line in the area. True story, but also allegorical for the immigrant labor that did build so much of the railroad and the country’s infrastructure. And, the Hi-Line also refers to the area where he spent the rest of his life working.

Powerful and poignant without being morose and maudlin. (Would that more folk-artists could thread that needle.) "Storm" is a hopeful song with a chorus you'll be humming long after viewing.
