Maintaining and Keeping Animals out of your Growing Food Plot (GREEN COVER REVIEW)
So many easy ways to tighten them… you can simply twist them so it can’t come off…
probably true. but for me,,, if its almost 100 bucks i want it to work as is lol
@@colbynuthalloutdoors I will agree on that! They should have included some kind of locking or tightening clip... Costs less than a $1
I love the ATN LT 320 5x10!! amazing optic also love the 320 3x6 in the bad a$$ MossyOak Bottomland Camo! 💙💜 Clean images and super ez control panel.
Agreed. I own the equipment. For what it is and does , it’s not worth the price. I find myself taking it off when in my box blind cause I bang around with it.
Yeah, it's so expensive. I do like things about it, just not the price.
Just got my first Mathews, it’s fun that everything for my Lift is minimum $180 lol
Yes it is, it gets really expensive very quickly.
What I've found is that if you loosen up the bottom mount just to the point that it will move a skosh when you're putting the quiver bracket it, that it will position itself where it needs to be. From there, snug the bolts down and it should be easier to slip in and out.
Thanks
I also stripped the bar knob twice changed it for a hex head bolt
Thats a good alternative.
I paid 250 for each
Nice!
Thanks for sharing this with us sir, the three arrows helps me figure out the direction I want to go, I only use the quiver for getting in and out of the wood and or tree stand - saddle, so the one I have been using on my old bow, will more than likely be my go to quiver and save the money for camping fees for hunting and or whatever. I appreciate you taking the time to share this with us. If you do go with the X, you will love it,. I went from the Mathews Switchback Solo cam to the the new X, it was a huge difference for me, the bow you have is not nearly as old, so it may not feel like a huge change for you. Have a blessed weekend and keep up the fun videos sir. Dale
Thanks Dale!
They are still on the Mathews website for $389.99. You can put a light on the sight. It screws into the end of the sight housing mounting rod. Axcel sells them. It's a great sight. I have one on my Lift 29.5.
Thanks, when they were new they were a lot more. I did see where the light goes in now. Thanks
You must have a long draw length, because your arrows are really long. It doesnt bother you that your arrows hang past the bottom of your bow? I suggest you put your hood on your quiver higher so you dont dig your nocks in the dirt. Just a suggestion, if you dont have a problem with it, then more power to you, but i used to hatebit on my mathews, having to dog dirt out of my nock.
I will see if i can, i have a 29 3/4 DL. Ill look to adjust the quiver
$600??? They retail for $349. I have one on my and absolutely love it!
They were when they were new, cheaper now. I do love the sight as well!
@@TheOutdoorSource. if you say so, sir. I bought mine when the Lift came out. Pretty sure the sight came out then. $349.99 retail
I can’t justify the cost of that stabilizer. I like the lift, but I’ll get a cheaper stabilizer. Probably will get the lo pro quiver though. Thanks for the video!
@juliusjames5577 your welcome. Thanks for watching.
The light srews into the open hole on the right of the sight. You will see the fibers when you look n there
Thanks man!!!
One of the things that caught my attention was when you said you forgot your stabilizer when you went on a trip, so you picked up another one. My experiences have taught me that in a hunting scenario, the hunting length stabilizers do all of about nothing for balance or perceivable vibration reduction, or accuracy. Maybe you could do a review comparing shooting with and without the stabilizer, and see if you come to the same conclusion I have. I will say this though- when at the range, and shooting shot after shot, a stabilizer setup (front and rear) will prove to be helpful. In a hunting scenario though ... I haven't experienced the value of stabilizers. Curious what your thoughts are.
Will do, that's a great idea.
Titanium Archery Products makes a far superior product to Mathews' overpriced stabilizers. I'm sure there's many others.
Thanks, I'll check them out.
So $150 and poor quality...
I wouldn't say the quality is poor, just that the screw in piece to square up the dampner could be better.
Make a cinch loop with the loop that is there. That will hold it on the scs buttons.
Thanks, I will try that!
Jakt Gear sling a ling... you're welcome
Will take a look, thanks!!
I looked for this video a few days ago and did not see it, I am happy to see it uploaded today. Happy Thanksgiving. Dang screw needs lick tight maybe..? Well, I already ordered one, thanks for the heads up on the screws, I will see if locktite works, like you I dont need stuff falling out or vibrating loose. Have a blessed weekend. Dale
Thanks Dave, it would be super hard to take them off during travel, so that's the conundrum. Have a great weekend!
purple loctite. Was there a review or opinion, addressing whether it was worth the cost?
My opinion was to look at other options as well and see if it was "worth" the price for you. The whole setup will be around $800 with front, back, and the mount. Some people love it, i will definitely look into other options next time if I sell my phase 4 and go for the lift X. I am not hwre to make decisions for you, just to give you information, good and bad. The purple locktite is a good idea probably.
Thanks again for the video sir, Good luck this season , I hope it is successful for you. Dale
Thank you for watching! It has really been a grind so far. Hope yours is going better.
Sub number 34 sir. dale
Thank you!
Thank you for taking the time to share this video with us. I subbed, because I can see the restraint in your voice, I try to keep my channel Family friendly and I am not certain I would not have had to do a lot of extra beeps if my bow dropped etc. I am sorry this happened during your video and I know it was a costly mistake. I will also say this, I thought by the looks of the system, that area that looks like shrink wrap may actually be slidable to keep the tension on the cord holding it securely. I just purchased a new bow from a bow shop that had the Silnent connect on the bow at the store, paid the 59 bucks or whatever it was and got home only to find it did not come with the pull cord, so I have the brackets for the same money hahhaa. Thanks again for sharing this, I juts watched your stabilizer video on the v bar stuff and to be honest, I dont have the money for the 750 or more for those and it was nice to hear you wouldn't buy them again and that they loosen up. My last new compound bow was the Mathews switchback, so I dont upgrade real often and I can say this, I have never moved the cheap stabilizer I have on the old bow and I dont want the new one coming loose simply from shooting or riding in my jeep to the woods. Thank you for that information as well. I know your are frustrated with what happened during this filming, I hope you have a blessed weekend, Happy Thanksgiving and May you have a successful season this year sir. Hats off to you for your video and thanks again. Dale
Certainly wasn't happy but I managed to get through it without swearing a lot. Wasn't my best day, I appreciate your comments! I have a bow buying problem so I upgrade quite a bit. I need to stop, we shall see!
mathews has warranty on the vbar bracket n all of it so no need to worry
Thank you sir
Lifetime warranty on Mathews products, if you strip it get it replaced.
Awesome, thx
You are like the only person who has reviewed this. Good video, thanks.
Thank you sir
I refuse to buy them. I have Titanium Archery Products stabilizers. They awesome and they're way cheaper.
Lots of good alternatives for sure!
"the feature that i like about this is that obviously its got a cock" 1:05
Damn, was hoping this was an old video and I could find year 4, just ordered some trees last night.
Next year the trees should be doing really well.
TAP stabilizers! Titanium! Lighter, stronger, cooler looking and way less expensive! Check them out folks.
Will do. Thanks!
Uhm, yeah, just checked them out. I'm definitely gonna go with TAP. Thanks for the recommendation.
@timgood8669 keep us posted
@TheOutdoorSource. Definitely, will thanks for your video, very informative 👍. Liked and sub from me
@timgood8669 thank you!
That’s why I carry my bow in my hand
I do now as well.
Yea well some of us can’t- have to ride a bike to certain spots etc.
Thats the reason I got it, was to use with my bike.
Thanks for the warning. I was just about to buy one. Sorry that you had a break two arrows to show everyone not to get it.
It's not worth $90 IMHO.
I've been on the fence about buying on myself. However, I think you may have put it on upside down, that's why it wants to spin around on you. I believe it was designed to be carried bow strings facing down, sight / stabilizer facing up towards you. Then the SCS pull up knobs will hold it, but, if those are upside down it can slip right off. At least, that was how it was explained to me. Good luck this season friend. Keep up the content, you have a great channel.
Thanks for the tip!
You did it wrong… riser up, string down. No chance it a fall off. I don’t even have one i just use one of my cam straps off my stand in way in and out and hook it on scs things as well works perfectly
Thanks, an expensive learning experience, needless to say I dislike it no matter how I use it. The primos 3 worked better for me and I never had to worry about it.
You put it on wrong. Then you got mad when you dropped your own bow. Then you blamed the company.
I realized my error. Thanks for the input.
Ohhhh mannn I’m sorry you had to sacrifice your gear to prove a point!!!! To be real tho- I feel like there’s only so much they can innovate on modern bows now that Mathews is just going for a money grab in the last breaths of this tech path…. Also- good arrows have never “snapped-off” like after my morning coffee- I’d switch to victory arrows. Peace and love ✌️
Thanks, I agree, there is only so much they can do now, the bows seem to getting slower now as well.
If you use that. Put rings around the loops. It’ll should keep them on ??
For $90US they don’t come with it?!??
I wish there was a tension deal.on there like the pullup rope. That would make it a lot better and that the pad went all the way down so u could carry it a.few diff ways.
You actually hooked it on wrong. Put the bow string facing down and then hook each loop on so that the handle is facing up. When you put it over your shoulder your bow handle should be under your arm pit. I have had one for 2 years and it has never fallen off like that.
Yea, was rough watching him say all that after he messed up.
I did realize my error after the comments, however. It does not say how you should use it or how it should be used in the box or anything, that i saw.
My fell of mine in 5 minutes, piece of crap save your money
Yeah, it sucks it happened to you as well.
Hunter Specialties makes one similar but much better for 10 bucks. I clips on, doesnt come off until you unbuckle it, and it keeps your bow in the proper position.
Is that like the primos one at all?
@@TheOutdoorSource. I dont know about the Primos version but the HS version works great.
Thx. I'll take a look at it.
Looks great, amazing screen shots!
Thanks, it is pretty sweet so far!!!
Flir I think has lost its reputation especially in the small phone camera. Lots of less expensive cameras out there of equal quality.
They just messaged me back that they can't fix my flir. So I am out of luck there.
@TheOutdoorSource. Typical
Detection radius ?
I have been able to see deer in fields at least 300 yds. It's pretty awesome, the focus, however, gets blurry or pixalated after you soon 3x. Hope that helps.
@TheOutdoorSource. yes thanks!
That coupon thing is a not real...lol nothing at that price would even work...... under $20..😂
You're of by a couple zeros.... "$2000" down to "$1600" - You would have been able to figure this out in less time than it took to write your ignorant post...
It's $2000, he did get a good discount from the coupon
The cousin is now $500. From $2000 to $1500
Thanks.
I wish it was $20🤣
Does it really matter if I use a slug or 00 Buck? At 10y distances I mean. What are the benefits from one over the other?
Pretty had to miss with 00 buck, you don't even really have to aim.
@TheOutdoorSource. but at 10 feet (so indoo) is the spread not that big anyway
what is the resolution?
It's best to just look up the specs, the link is in the description.
Where did you get the coupon?
It was on the Amazon site, next to price it said add coupon.
@@TheOutdoorSource. thanks
What state are you in, looks like your trees are doing great👍🏻
I am in Maryland. So far so good. Lost some this year due to the drbut in june/July. Watered them a lot, but just not enough.
@@TheOutdoorSource. Thanks for getting back to me, I'm in WI Lost 2 Persimmon out of 6, 12 Chestnut are doing great. Goodluck to you👍🏻
450 feet
Do you mean speed wise? If so, the R29 is 430, and the R29X is 450. I do wish I had the X though!
Any updates? Torn between Cuddelink and Tactacam.
More coming soon!
So far the cuddelink is working well however I love my tactacams and the 3.0 is even better than my 2.0s. If you do want super good quality, use tactacam, if you want a wide net use the cuddelink. Its a finicky system though.
