I've listened to this concerto more in the past say 6 months than I have since the 80s when I started studying flute. The french horns in this performance are actually quite good. Many times they are blaringly loud and just don't sound appealing. The flutist is absolutely amazing. Even though with here big full sound, I did lose her a few times, but not often at all. 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
A rich Japanese woman owns that house, right? That's what some Asians do...try to change the facts using big money in order to present themselves as something that they are not. And the problem is that many of the top pros give in because they are hurting for money. The music world should NEVER be influenced by money. It should always be about the playing level. Otherwise musical standards will go down the toilet.
There is only one successful way to study with Carol: Ignore everything she says.
