Am glad that tsunami warning turned out to be a false alarm for you, Crystal! I would've thought the hotel would've sounded an evacuation alarm, or given guidance of some sort to guests. They don't appear to have had a set process to follow. Were there no other crew members in that hotel who you could call?

Love San Fran. Pier39 is very chill and seeing the sea lions sun bathing is pretty cool. Only little thing to pick on is... did you notice the sea lions smell because there are so many of them there lol?

Glad that the warning is cancelled, however feel sorry for the warning episode disturbing not only your plan, but also your emotion. Thank God it was just an alarm and had no further effect.. it must be so scarry when you are in an unfamiliar place and confronted with that..

If I were you I would contact other crew or hotel ,that might help to cease the anxiety.

Glad it was a false alarm. Thank you for showcasing the still pretty parts of San Francisco. I was there in 1991 and hoping to return but put off by negative publicity. After watching your vlog, definitely worth returning. Very well made vlog , bravo!

Lovely, relaxing video - as always, Crystal! The "purple blooms" in Perth are from trees called Jacaranda. Not sure about Perth, but they are certainly very common in Sydney, and have even become a tourist attraction in a couple of suburban streets where they are densely planted - Australian cherry blossom 😊😊. They bloom around the time you visited (ie Oct-Dec). Just beware their fallen petals in wet weather, as they can be slippery if walking over them. That Toronto coffee looked dreadful. Coffee in Oz, especially SYD, will make up for it: forget Starbucks (which, fortunately, has few stores), just go to smaller, individually-owned ones - difficult to go wrong! Safe & happy travels! 😎

Thank you for sharing. Is the "bed facing the door" thing a Chinese superstition thing? I remember my Chinese co-worker whom I shared the room with were also complaining about this too and demand me to take the bed facing the door directly The Chinese Dragon at the Xmas parade was surely a random oddity, I guess they were trying to show cultural diversity in Toronto area. Surely, they would be back during this upcoming Lunar New Year soon (At the time of writing)
