These are difficult times we are living in, but You are correct, We put our Faith in Jesus and we follow God's word. The Bible is the source of All wisdom and understanding. The World does not want to submit to God, they want to be God! But we keep our eyes on Jesus. The Rock. Amen and Amen 🙏 🙌

Sadly, there are "Pastors" who do not teach the word of God. They just stand up on a stage and tell their followers that they are such good people, never preaching on sin and the need for a savior. Never preaching on what it means to grow in our faith. And sadly, it sometimes seems these ear ticklers are so popular among "Christians" that they may very well have the largest congregation in a town. People just naturally don't want to be told what they are doing wrong, we want to be bragged on. Thus, we sometimes prefer this over sound doctrine. Yet, only sound doctrine will help us grow in our faith.

That's a good point that sometimes we can overemphasize what could be the new thing, and forget the thing that never changes. I think learning to love people is the first step to discipleship because that's the way we will be known to be Jesus' disciples.

It’s hard to hear but we will suffer as Christians. It is also hard to embrace but the best thing for me to remember is that Gos is by my side through it. And like you said, we can prepare for the trials with Leaning and relying and memorizing Gods Promises.🌻

Yes, as Christians we are always on mission - year in year out. in the course of living, we should strive to grow personally and spiritually as we work towards acheiving God's purpose for us. We must remember to situate our those goals and aspirations within God's overall mission for us to win souls for Him and extend His kingdom on earth. Newly subscribed.

God has a mission for us believers, that is to make desciples. If He didn't have work for us to do, He wouldn't leave His beloved children on this rotten, sinful planet. He leaves us here so that He may work in and through us. Our job is to simply allow Him to guide us in sharing the Gospel and in helping other believers grow in their faith.

I think the main reason most people forget or ignore the mission is because they are overwhelmed and trying to do it all on their own. We are not meant to do these things alone. Community is key.

I think it's of most importance to remember that our first and greatest commandment and mission is to love the Lord our God, and know Him. All these other missions must flow from that.

This is one of the best stories. Each time I read this book, I learn so many new lessons. It is important to read the bible more than once. We need to study the passages again and again. This is our life manual.

Just how do we enter into His gates with thanksgiving, when our world is falling apart? I think for those Christians who manage to be thankful in all situations, there isn't just one way to keep this mindset--it's different for each one. Some say they simply remind themselves that it could be worse and are thus thankful it's not. Others pray when they are struggling and find peace that passeth understanding and are simply thankful for that peace. I strive to be the kind of Christian who lives to please my Lord and who approaches life with a thankful heart. Somedays, I have more moments where I slip from that mindset than others. But, I strive to approach life with a prayerful heart, daily.

I’ve had to go through some hard times recently but being thankful and praising God in midst of it all healed me from Cancer! It’s a must we have to worship and be thankful.

It's true, it's hard to give thanks to God when we go through trials. I experienced that after my mom died. But when I thanked God for her life, somehow the heaviness was lifted. There's pain, but there's the assurance that God knows our hardships and looks after us.

Like you, I don't put my political opinions out there on TH-cam either. However, I was a political science major in college and keep up on all the latest political news. I agree with you that we have a role to play as believers in the midst of the chaos. Thank you for putting out this thoughtful response to the political chaos.

Posting this as a Canadian after watching all the election craziness over the past month. I pray that more people reflect on what has happened and in the future based on real values and principles rooted in faith and remember to treat others with the respect they deserve rather than the hateful ways I've been seeing online recently.
