Hey i am 4 months off fron alcohol beer for drinking about 7 years about 10liter a week .after mond of stop i feel i very depressed lost 15. Day 15 off subs today. Forcing myself to lift weights, do push-ups and eat 3 fairly healthy meals a day. Lucky enough to be able to take some time off of work so I’m trying to work on my body while my mind is still healing. Still have absolutely zero energy especially whenever I try to get up out of bed and force myself to cook or workout. This is my 2nd time quitting the subs, first time I had to work through it all and never worked on the things I needed too to be comfortable in my own skin again. That was in 2016, stayed clean for a couple years but started thinking I could take a few Vicodins here and there which after like 2 years of being able to dibble n dabble here and there turned into taking the 30s again for a solid couple months which led me to switching back to subs to avoid withdrawing. Been on the subs this time for almost 2 years and quit cold turkey 15 days ago. I can’t believe how weak my body has become I can barley do 10 push-ups now. But when I was on subs I was eating like a bird, sometimes going 24 hours without eating yet still never being hungry. I’ve always had a high metabolism and a small appetite but the subs a cigarettes made that even worse. I’m still never hungry in the morning but I’ve forced myself to eat 3 eggs, fried ham and toast for the past week and once I start eating I never have an issue finishing. Hopefully by the time my minds doing better my body is also in the best shape it’s been in 20 years. Praying for everyone who’s going through it now or been through it and are still fighting the battle everyday. We deserve better and suboxone is poison, makes me a shell of myself, absolutely numb inside. Love y’all.

I always got brand name until 2 years ago, I got the yellow ones & they were fine. 3 months ago, I had to switch to Stop & Shop Pharmacy because CVS didn't have my meds in stock at all!! Stop & Shop gives Dr. Reddy's and they suck!

I am wrecked with anxiety and depression. I don’t know what to say. I’m just wrecked. It’s been 2 months off 10 years of methadone. Writing this is extremely difficult. What do I do 😭

Thank you for sharing! I’m here because after being on one brand generic for seven years I started having dr. Reddys as part of my monthly script until two months ago where my full month was Dr. R. I finally realized that the anxiety, days of sadness and chronic pain ( two accidents and TBI) that I started not being able to control any longer for the past YEAR isn’t the loss of my dad or life situations that I was blaming! last month after being given the wrong dosage ( not realizing until that evening when I was three hours away for a week) and my sleepless night of not able to change my thoughts to shut off my head realized that it has been this script! June 13 was 8 years sober ( after a decade of being in & out of the rooms and almost losing my life) and it was the worse than any of my first three! Today my dr. As well increased the dosage. Sadly I was given tablet form instead of the strips! At first I was upset at another mistake but when I realized that these tablets are a different brand I decided to try them. Fingers crossed….!

Hi. I recently completed 95 days off of meth. I used to snorting it. It was for 1 year Binge doing it. PAWS experience i have from anxiety to panic attacks to hell lot of mood upside down with finally no feeling like my self anymore. Bipolar symptoms is the best way to explain i guess. Does it goes away? How many months more i have to suffer this its already been 90 days of abstinence.

Not to put a damper but it can take months to return to normal. Opiates for example changes your brains chemicals and receptors. Depending on how heavy the usage was it can take a year or more for your brain to return to its baseline.

Reddy is the absolute WORST!!! Never been so sick in my life than when I take the Reddy brand.

Yes dr reddys is garbage, i take the 12/3 mg 2 times a day and the dr reddys feels like a 4 mg name brand Suboxone. I been on Suboxone since 2012 but everytime i get dr reddys i relapse cause i run out of my script so much faster. Give me the mylan but we are drug addicts so we are treated like human waste. I wish i can get the name brand name but ill take anything other then the street shitter dr reddys.

Nearly all pharmacies near me have gone to Dr Reddy's and they really aren't phenominal and in fact I think they should remake their formula or just not compete at all. Alvogen and Mylan are exemplary. But Dr Reddy's just plain sucks. I'm in this exact same boat.

Cheers for the video. I’ve been an on and off painkiller user for 10 years. Never took more than what was prescribed but I just woke up one day and said taking this doesn’t make me happy anymore. I’m about 2 weeks off them surprisingly didnt experience any extreme acute withdrawals, I feel like I skipped that part and went straight to paws symptoms. Hopefully it won’t last too long, I’m staying active and I’m enjoying spending time with my family etc. although I’m tired and get anxious, it’s amazing how much better I feel

I’m glad I saw this. I’ve been a heavy smoker for 23-24 years. Been off the herb for 29 days. I have no interest in my hobbies anymore, don’t wanna play music, don’t wanna surf, no motivation for work, no desire to read, just complete blah. I force myself to do everything but there’s no joy in it. God I hope the love for life comes back. Life is starting to lose meaning and I’m beginning to wonder what the point of it all is.

Switching 6 months ago from Akorn pharmaceuticals 8mg bupenorphine to West Ward Hikma pharma 8mg Bupenorphine I was and am sick as a dog. It's just gotten worse. I feel ok for 1 or 2 hours. Then just sick af. Nightmares, anxiety, depression, hot flashes, etc. They've just changed it to Alvogen 8/2 strips. Praying these work similar to Akorn ones. I was a pain patient. On a legit pain script. I was able to function on pain meds. I went back to college (presidents list), ran a business. All with disabilities. About 9 months ago my pcp asked if I'd try bupenorphine for pain management. I trusted him and tried it. Since then I've lost my job, failed out of college, depleted all of my savings, am 7k in credit card debt and about to default of my 20k car note, etc. I get it helps some people. It didn't help me. I feel like this medicine ruined my life. I'm now dependent on it. I tried to stop and got very very sick. They've given me clonidine (blood pressure med), and Robaxin (muscle relaxer) for the withdrawals. I don't know what to do like I said. I need to just feel normal so I can pay my creditors, utilities, etc. Will try the strips in the morning. Praying to God for a miracle.

I moved to Hawaii and I go to cvs which is called longs there. I get my script in a zip lock bag too. I get Mylan brand. I found this video from another video of a lady asking about white spots. A lot of people are getting that confused with the specks in the generics...it's not that. Somehow moisture has got to them and there will be white dots all over it.

I agree I just got my prescription from cvs and I can't see any difference. I tried Dr ready and some days I had to double dose. Also some days it made me feel weird. The taste of Dr readys is awful btw.

Hi Dan. I was hoping I could get your advice. I have been prescribed 3 8mg Brand name strips a day and I have been taking them daily for 6 years. They have worked very well for me. No complaints at all. Starting next month my insurance will no longer cover brand name and wondering if you had any info that could help me out. I am very fearful and anxious about getting switched to any generic. Have there been any changes to the Alvogen ones that you are reviewing? I live in the USA btw and my pharmacy of choice is CVS. Please if anyone can steer me in the right direction or calm my fears. I don’t want a months worth of inferior medication that could make me withdrawal. Thank you for what you are doing with these posts

Here in uk sandoz buprenorphine has totally changed in quality its just so weak i'm gonna have to switch brands..

Man.. I always hear 3-7 days for the acute withdrawal.. I didn’t sleep for 18 days whilst in agony..

Its just annoying getting switched around from generic brand to generic brand. Like try to keep me on one. Let's not mess up my routine now 😂

i relapsed after 3 months of not drinking and have been depressed everyday since. the anhedonia waves lasted 3 months and now its just depression. i read that some symptoms are always present and some come in waves, i feel hopeful because i know it can last a few years. gotta give myself some time .

I remember about 17 months ago I was drinking and smoking weed for about 10 days in a row, I got paws and it took me about 3 months to feel great again, I noticed I started having the waves of withdraw hit me , I didnt know I was still recovering and I relapsed for about 6 days, I got rid of the anhedonia but have felt mildly depressed for about 1 year, I heard it can last a few years, and I do notice some days are better than others, found your video and I know I will recover. Your doctor got to write dispense name brand only on prescription because you get upset stomach and diarrhea from taking DR Reddy's if not switch you to another buprenorphine brand besides Dr Reddy's or switch to name brand Suboxone

Started on 5mg the first 3days I was feeling highly intelligent and focused the next couple of days I just felt awake feel as if I developed a tolerance

I've been on sub for over 15 yrs now, not proud of it but it has saved my life. I concur, generic strips Alvogen are just as good as name brand. I know everyone one is different but I've never had to wait 30-40 min to dissolve.

You know what would be great as a video, having your wife perspective and how to support an addict and what it takes to stay with someone in recovery 😊!! Ps I didn't know you guy have pills like that, here it's sublingual tablet ( same as the strip probably, it melts really fast specially the 2 mg one, the 8mg takes a little bit longer) great video btw 🙏

That yellow package doesn’t work the same the ph is different when made less of the medication gets in the bloodstream. It’s terrible and you will feel cravings and withdrawal and you might have to take more than prescribed . I was one of the first patients to take Suboxone in the United States way back in 2001-2002 my dr got it approved here in the United States . So yea that yellow package sux bad and I still take Suboxone today 20 years later
