You are a life saver! Tysm for this video!!!! Can you please tell me where you got the leather from and the exact color? For years, I've been dealing with this torn-up California king headboard. The bed is sentimental to me, but it's in such bad shape that it's stressing me out peeling and shedding for so long. Also, I don't have staples on my headboard, but it has round circular metal pieces embedded into the edges of the leather. Do you know if those are removable, and if I could use a staple remover to remove them as well?

As an approximation, a single stage air compressors puts out about 3CFM/HP. If you need 12 CFM at 90PSI you have to stop blasting if the compressor tank pressure drops below 90PSI. A one horsepower compressor could only blast 25% (or less) of the time. If you have a 5hp compressor it might supply 12CFM (but a 7.5HP is probably more real) and you could blast continuously. Smaller horsepower means lots of stop & starts to fill up the tank. A bigger tank means a longer blasting time between stop start. Keep an eye on the pressure gauge (above 90PSI) or just don't blast while the compressor is running. A trade off for needing less CFM is to reduce the nozzle size. That would get less work done but reduce wait times as the compressor cycles. Anybody want to offer additions or corrections to this?

Great video. Most fundamental problem with recliners these days is lack of lubrication. AS SOON AS you buy one immediately oil ALL the pivoting and moving parts otherwise those rivets bore and wear wider holes in adjoining parts. Friction is the worst for of recliners. Another problem is plastic bushings, rollers always seem to wear out. Not much you can do about that. And of course tighten all loose bolts and screws.

What is typically the issue if the power supply blinks slowly when pluged in to the sofa, nut is a strong solid green when unplugged? Already checked all the cables for damage and made sure no USBs were plugged in to it. Any ideas? Maybe the switches?

It is letting you know there’s a short. In my experience it is usually the switches

I have had a power recliner for about 7 or 8 years. Yesterday the chair started making a horrible grinding sound when trying to raise the foot rest. I flipped the chair over and the white plastic part that is on the track attached to the motor was snapped in half. Is there anyway to replace just that plastic part or would i need a whole new motor mechanism?

I’ve only seen them as one whole Unit (the motor-lift arm)

You may be able to buy or fabricate some parts of your chair mechanism (the metal frame) online. I found metal drive rod part of the mechanism and plastic bushings online.

Thank you for this video. Gave me some confidence also! I have a modular sofa set and bought the metal alligator clips. Since there isn’t any diagramed installation instructions that are clear and concise, might you share some tips on how to measure and place the clips for the best results. I am worried that the wooden sofa frame isn’t thick enough and/or if the wood become damaged over time? How well do these clips hold up over time? Should I reenforce the wood or is there nothing to worry about? Last question…why would a manufacturer Not place clips on the modular sofa? Too frail..etc? Thank you in advance, All the Best!

That’s a possibility. I would prefer at least a 3/4” thick piece of wood to attach to. As far as measuring, I’d probably split it into thirds if possible or maybe something as simple as 10” from the back and 10” from the front… nothing super specific as far as placement

Thanks so much for the rapid answer. My sofa frame is thicker than 3/4”, so all good. Good day to you, sir.
