There is a reason hunters use shot guns on moving objects. Hitting something with pistol is very hard. Sure at the range perfect lighting, target not moving, you are not moving, no threat so no adrenalin, take your time to aim and then you can hit something. Like duck hunting with 22. Longer shot guns are hard to maneuver in tight corners, easier for intruder to get ahold of it in tight corners and harder to conceal. Shock wave is for close range and aim close to your target and will hit it, with a lot of force and pick your spread size.

I just wanted to say that no offense but it’s a incorrect color when they left the factories they were basically just black since any shine could give your position away in WW1 but they did get shiny after a lot of use and the original color would show through but still nonetheless it’s a cool knife

Defender, 000 Buck, or a slug will drop an intruder. Velocity is sufficient. Home defense...all good for 1 or 2 assailants. 5 or 6 rounds. The 20 and 12 gauge are alley sweepers.

It does not misfeed or FTF. Of course, there are other options. Keep in mind, a shot in a home is likely to be less than 40 feet...13 yards. The .410 with a Winchester Defender load will eviscerated an intruder. The same goes with five 000 pellets. No recoil.

To me, an AR is much harder to use than the bullpup rifles like the X95 and the Kel-tec RDB. I find the ergonomics much easier and logical. I hate the charging handle on an AR compared to the one on a bullpup.

It is a compact package with a lot of power at close range 🤷🏻‍♂️. So yea for an enclosed space like the confines of a home it is excellent for home defense the only draw back the amount of ammo but still for a shotgun always carry more ammo on your person 😎🤙

The 590S shockwave makes more sense as it can take shorty, low power shells. Also holds 8+1 shells.

Simple laser on the top rail allows quick and easy target acquisition from hip or higher. Yes I have shot over 200 rounds with varying types of shot and easily hit the target consistently. Total additional cost for laser and mount was $46 and about 10 minutes of my time.

Yeah let’s go with a scoped AR for home defense with a sling and grip. So dumb. The shotgun you grab and shoot and spray. That simple.

To each his own, but out of my over 200 firearms I’m happy as a clam with my Shockwave with mini shells and a stream light front stock as my primary home defense weapon. I’m not worrying nearly as much about blowing thru the wall with a 5.56, 7.62x39 or even with one of my 9mm’s or one of my 45’s and shooting one of my neighbors. And putting a sling on a shockwave is not a difficult or an expensive proposition. It took the place of my M1 carbine, which was my go to home defense weapon before the Mossberg. But, as you know, opinions are like anal orificies, everyone’s got one.

Definitely for home defense.

Excellent gun period......BUT..... like any gun if you dont actually train with it. Get familer and confident with it. Yes then its a usless gun for home defence. But know this. I know people with recurve bows that would mess someone up breaking into their home with a gun...... simply beacue they train like savages with them. Get "good" with what you have and love!

Honestly i, purchased one for home defense. Not happy with the birds head grip. Having your hand at that angle is usually complemented by the additional support of your shoulder. Without the shoulder portion of the stock ,if you try to shoot anything other than literal hip fire, your wrist is left to absorb all the recoil, and its really not very comfortable. I will be filing for SBS tax stamp and putting a stock on mine. I feel like this design would only really be beneficial for mobility, specifically if you were shooting out of a vehicle. And its not mad max outside…. Yet.
