Testing out a grapple on JCB Teleskid
มุมมอง 606วันที่ผ่านมา
In this video we test out my new grapple. Got this grapple pretty cheap and I didn't need a nice one because I don't do this type of work often. I was pretty impressed we didn't break it because we really worked it hard. Got a new guy in the teleskid as well. #business #construction #equipment #skidsteer #jcb #tractorvideo #work #grapple

I use a JCB 190 with wheels and it is absolutely useless in rock. Just spins out, leaves ruts and damn near gets stuck. I would think tracks would be far more effective for rock but then again Im a pretty novice skid steer operator.

Are those hi cube containers? Only downsides I see is ceiling height. If you could of done metal trusses instead of wood to have a higher ceiling that would of been amazing. Love the layout for a storage barn. Good work.

Turned out nice man, you do you. I would now use the upper door as a roof and angle back to support and weld in place permanent. I see the benefit of the upper being welded to all and also the 9 1/2 feet instead of the 8 wide. I'm in the mindset that I can build a metal 60x40 myself but man the price of everything is crazy.......Cheers

Interesting how you layer the top container on its side. I do see the benefit. If the door is easy to open well then it’s all good. Solid concrete slab sounds like the way to go. This summer I am building a small one. Floor with drains and a few windows to look out maybe. Not sure yet. Thanks for sharing. Great job.

Looking good there. It's tuff to tell from the video how far those rafters extend over the outside containers. But if they do it seems that the end of the roof on the container inside isn't weight bearing except at the front doors of the building. Almost like you could attach the top of the container roof to the rafters and remove the center poles. Just a thought .

Excellent video. I'd like to add in to the mix: Tires are good for plowing asphalt, but TERRIBLE at icy inclines. I went with option #3 which is the tires with steel OTT tracks for winter/inclines. You get the speed of tires, but the grip of steel tracks. That said, the steel tracks cannot be used on asphalt or concrete, as they WILL mark up the surface pretty bad. I think what EVERYONE needs is one of each. :)

But I hate the fading, corrosion, hyd lines cracking, etc. That's def taking care of your equipment. Looks like you washed them down to. Keep your stuff looking and working like new and lasting. Which one of these two has less steering wandering? I had two ford trucks 2006 F350 and 2015 F250, one was worst then the other, steering wheels were very loose, front wheels where flapping side to side on the straight highway. Very tiring to drive like that, have to correct your steering every second just to go straight. Mechanics told that it is typical for the ford work trucks, and nothing we can do about it, they even have a term for it "Ford Wander".

    • @tandtlandscapeandmasonry

Hey Tyler. Interesting video sir! I have never operated a sweeper myself. I have to admit I've never seen anyone else run them backwards like you do either. Do you think the reason it's more effective in reverse is because the body of the attachment and the skidsteer more-or-less prevents the dust from traveling uncontrolled and resetting wherever the wind takes it? Also what gpm does your sweeper require on low?

    • @tandtlandscapeandmasonry

I'm leaning to this, but I'm concerned about it's ability to operate in deep snow/woods/mud and slight hillsides. ASV's seem to have no problems. I'm located in North Central MN.

Thess Ford's are absolute work horses and will do mostly anything that you throw at it and will stack up the mileage with little issues. Not a fan of the detuned motors as opposed to the 350 and 450 versions. I've owned several and most were super reliable and extremely durable. Definitely prefer the 6.7 diesel but the 7.3 gas seems like a great truck motor too. The 6.2 gas motor is a great light duty motor, only had 2 out of 6 that were garbage, most likely lemons. Always ran full synthetic in the fleet of 24. Most were diesel and most regardless were reliable ✌🏽🇺🇲

Side door is definitely a great thing. They just need to work on quality, fit and finish especially interior, install lock nuts on all bolts , throw away latches on side door and engine door. Install double flange track rollers in front to reduce vibrations. Color code wiring harness, all wires are yellow, definitely need more power in track loaders, move cab closer to attachment for grading . owned 2023 jcb t270. My bobcat t595 and t66 will run circles around it. Jcb is very weak digging hard soils .
