Kashaya | Home Remedy for Cough & cold
Ingredients:
Tulsi(Indian Basil) - 10 to 15
Sambarballi|Doddapatre - 6
Majjige Soppu|Lemon grass (cut into smaller pieces) - Small bunch
Onion - 1
Ginger - lemon sized
Garlic cloves - 4
Jeera - 1tbsp
Pepper - 2bsp
Honey
Preparation:
* Smash Ginger and place in vessel.
* Smash onion and place in vessel.
* Smash Garlic cloves.
* Crush Pepper.
* Crush jeera.
* Add other Ingredients Sambarballi(cut into smaller pieces).
* Add Majjige Soppu.
* Add Tulsi.
* Add 3 glass of water.
* Boil till quantity turns half.
* Once done Filter the Kashaya.
* Add 1 or 2tsp of Honey (can adjust as per sweetness).
Kashaya is ready.

I don’t understand the lime. Probably not good for the yeast.
even the rice is not necessary if you already have raisin, sugar, yeast and water.
@@brandibrinks1843 But the acidity of the lime the yeast don’t like. 5 ph is good but anything lower the yeast will not perform at a higher alcohol level. You want a higher alcohol level test the juice. If it’s below 4 you’re drinking a weak wine, the yeast just won’t produce more alcohol.
@user-jc4yv7eg7c lime is for sourness as unlike grape fruit rice is not sour. Yeast is for fermentation.
@@brandibrinks1843 since this is rice wine we would use rice as the base for yeast to ferment on. dried raisin would provide the typical wine colour and not the key ingredient for fermentation

The recipe was fermenting with cashew fruit without much squeezing juice. We have tried it. For example of grape wine we don't put grape juice

Yes. Store in cool place / fridge. Make sure the petals are not rotted
