HeliAir operate tours all over the country. This video is from my tour with them in April over Warwickshire and Stratford upon Avon, England. Taking off from Wellesbourne airfield, we passed the Vulcan bomber and carried on across to Warwick via Charlecote House before finally coming back over Stratford upon Avon. Enjoy the view, apologies for the audio.
2008-2016 Honda CBR1000rr Fireblade Air Filter Change

A quick run through through of whats involved when servicing the air filter on a CBR1000rr (Model 2008-2016). On the 2012-2016 Models, bodywork removal will be a little different, however the main portion under the body should be the same.

How to: K&N Air Filter Install - 2012 CBR600rr
มุมมอง 2.6K7 ปีที่แล้ว
How to remove the relevant fairings, covers and parts in order to replace the air filter on a 2012 CBR600rr-c (PC40)
Nice video man! Love that shot at 4:39 . Interesting camera angle too, I normally shoot with a chest mount, might have to try something like this...
Appreciated mate, I tried this as it meant I could be hands free and not lug a tripod around. Lessons learned: Don't hang your boots too close to the selfie stick Get a gimbal (bought a feiyutech g6 for £48 on eBay) Talk clearer lol Thanks for the comment 👍
Hey, anyone know abd have done changing the 08' model fairings to look like the 2012? Cos the fairings are interchangeable and headlights and air rams is all you need. Thanks.
You might need a new front loom as well as the fairing kit from a bit of research.
@@kaiblebasha hi! Thanks! what sort of front loom? The headlight wiring harness? I'll message and ask AUMOTOR on their 2008-2011 conversion to 2012+ fairing kit.. they sell fairings aswell for all bikes basically same as every other fairing sites. Custom paint/theme etc.. Thanks.
@@Jason.cbr1000rr yeah I think it's that, I'd need to go digging again, I think the later version has a different headlight connector, I could be wrong though. Depends if you're changing the lights as well I suppose.
Great video. Any idea on what your total time was ?
I reckon about an hour and a half doing it with the camera in the way. Normally an hour or less 👍
Thank you for this video! I'll be doing my change when my filter comes in! Got the BMC filter
Nice! Hope all goes well, mate 🙏 👍
Was going to do pair valve delete but had to bail and put everything back together after removing the airbox and finding that rubber dam thing covering the whole engine underneath. I'm guessing you have to pull the fairings to remove it.
Hey, yeah I think that's the case mate. Pretty sure after that then you can get to the cylinder head / area. Better than dropping the engine out I suppose...
Thank You
No probs mate.
God explanation and showing of the process. This video helped me a lot. Keep on doing man. Just one question, I would like to change the petrol filter on my cbr1000r 2016, do you have a video for this?
Hey, glad it hoped you in part of the process. I don't have a video for it, but from what I understand you need to replace the whole module that's in the bottom of the fuel tank as the filter is built into it.
@@kaiblebasha thank you very much for the help and your quick answer!
About to try this my first time and i think i can do it with your help. Many thanks.
Glad you found it useful!
What fender eliminator kit is that? Looks good!
Its the R&G tail tidy mate 👍
@@kaiblebasha nice, just ordered one for my 2015 Repsol
Nice! Should tidy it up a lot. They're good quality too, I normally use mine as an anchor for straps when touring.
Nice video. What kind of camera are you using?
Thanks 👍 in this video in using a drift ghost s with the plug in mic, but I'm now using a gopro hero 7 black with a cheap external voice recorder.
Nice, I'm actually in the process of picking up that exact gopro. I like how small it is compared to the 9
Good man, I'd recommend a Zoom H1n if you're going to be recording audio (non vlog style). The hero 7 is great for motorcycle videos as the stabilisation helps a lot. Remember if you're recording 2.7k at 120 fps or anything 4k your software will need to be able to run the HEVC (h. 265) kodak, 2.7k at 60 fps still uses h. 264 which most things can read.
@@kaiblebasha thanks, I didn't know that. I'll have to keep that in mind.
What colour motorcycle
Honda colour name is Candy Glory Red, the colour code is R-101C-U
can i get info on your brembo calipers? i have an 08 cbr1k and i dont have those
Yep 👍 They're 108mm fitment Brembo M4 monoblocks. I got them from www.bikehps.co.uk but you may need to get them elsewhere. They're awesome and easy to maintain. I'd recommend getting a master cylinder to go with them All in maybe you're looking at £650-£700
@@kaiblebasha awesome thank you for replying i will look into it definitely
@@kaiblebasha one more question, stock rotors? thanks
@@1kJ335 yep, mine are stock and they're all good. Your brembos may come with spacers as well, might be worth checking where the brake pad material meets the brake rotor when installed. Currently I don't use the spacers as the pads were developing a lip after about 100 miles as the top was overhanging the edge of the rotor.
My 09 cbr1000rr dies only when I go full throttle do u think it’s getting too much air?
Hey, this might have been caused by a few things, so you may need to Google. Good areas to start are checking the spark plugs and boots as something could have come loose. If one is loose it might cut out. Also check your airbox and air intakes as you may be getting too much air that way. Does it cut out under about 90% throttle?
@@kaiblebasha it started after coming down hard after a power wheelie it died and I jus started it back up no problem so I assumed the engine jus didn’t like the jolt. But yeah now when I twist the throttle past half it cuts the engine. It seems to be running fine if I baby it but tomorrow I’m gonna take the tank partway off like you showed in the video and check air box and intakes. Hopefully it’s jus something loose. It’s got cheap aftermarket plastics that came on the bike so I’m wondering if it’s something simple
@@billytoussaint7267 with any luck you've just knocked a coil pack loose. Which may be rattling it's way out when the engine revs higher (due to vibration). Either that or maybe the plastics are causing air to get in from somewhere else. Does it cut out if you rev it while standing still in neutral?
@@kaiblebasha nope. Plastics are pretty shit tho. Aftermarket Chinese plastics and front end is a little sloppy around the air ducts
@@kaiblebasha it’s only dying when the engine is under a load. I can rev bomb w the clutch in
Very helpful thank you
No need to remove the gas tank. Take the passenger seat off and take a bangee cord and put the hook in the hole at the top of gas tank and than hook the other to the edge of the rear seat. It will hold the tank back. Used this method on my 08 CBR1000RR,12 CBR1000RR, and 2017 CBR1000RR, wiithout having any issues.
That's a good shout to be fair, I'll give it a shot next time
Nice bro... Im learning some diy myself vids like this definitely helps... Any other bike maintenance ill be happy to watch thanks
Thanks mate! I try to do it as and when needed so brakes may be the next one 👍
Rather than manhandle the fuel tank to release the lines just leave the two rearmost bolts in and the tank will pivot up. Then lay it back down, remove the two b'pivot' bolts and lift off as you did in the vid. Good work!
Ahhh that makes more sense. Mine wouldn't lift too far hence the wrangling 😂 may have been the overflow lines come to think of it...
Thanks for the bid it really helped. You remind me of a butch Will Mckenzie tho 😂
#toolbox-wanker 😂😂 glad it helped 👍
Thanks bro. Used your video to change the air filter on 2014 blade. Much easier than expected and was so hoping not to have to mess with the fuel line and didn’t have to. Thanks for making the video!
No worries, glad you found it useful!
🤙🤙 good video
Appreciate it bud 👍

THANK GOD....UR THE ONLY ONE DOING THIS WITH A 09-12.DAM CLIPS AROUND TANK
2wheelsonly I know, those clips were awkward as hell!
Kaible Basha lol u saved me a lifetime and broken fairings lol.i needed a 6 pack for all this.
good video merci
Thanks mate. This video will help me for my next service of my CBR 600 RR 09' ;)
