I had a similarly awful experience with that group and the person who runs it. While I thankfully didn't have to endure any accusations of racism or cultural insensitivity like you did, I experienced a similar pattern of what I said being misinterpreted, my attempts to correct the misinterpretation being further taken the wrong way, an eventual ban after my first meeting ended (based on a shaky pretext), and finally an overall feeling of "grossness," as you put it, combined with a disinclination to have anything to do with that group or any other Japanese-language group in the Twin Cities for that matter. Unlike you, I actually did make it to my first meeting, and I was scolded by her in front of several other members. After being banned, she sent me an email that was not only insulting, but also hurtful in a very personal way. I absolutely couldn't believe it! Maybe that other group advertised to the left of her group in the newsletter is worth checking out. I completely feel your frustration, but don't give up, okay?

The "scromiting" is actually the major symptom of the rare Cannabinoid hyperemesis syndrome (CHS) It generally happens with heavy, long term cannabis consumers. This cannot be considered a serious disease since all you have to do to cure it is stop consuming cannabis.
