the 1khz region sounds hot on the treble, then the frequency response dips below into more base causing the mids and highs to feel smeared I feel. Could be the mic or something.

Joe Biden moves more than that woofer did! Great speakers, I love my Ultras! My sound system consists of 2 SVS Ultra Bookshelf speakers, an SVS Ultra Center speaker, 2 SVS Ultra Surround speakers, 6 SVS Prime Elevation speakers (4 ceiling mounted for Dolby Atmos and 2 mounted on the rear wall for the rear channels) and 2 SVS SB-3000 Subwoofers. The system is powered by a Yamaha AVENTAGE RX-A8A 11 channel AVR.

As a bassist and House of Worship sound tech, I'm more impressed with these loudspeakers the more I hear them. Even with TH-cam compression, they sound AMAZING!!!! Good selection of tracks too!

Hello, I plan on purchasing a pair of SVS Ultra Bookshelf speakers and use dual SB-2000 subwoofers. Will also use SVS Prime Wireless Soundbase. What is your opinion on this hookup? Will it sound good and is it value for money?
I’m not sold on wireless technology yet. Ultras with the dual 2000s, gonna be very nice.

@@777Rollin777 Yes, I got it, did not hook it up as yet. Once I do will let you know.
My reply might be a little late but the soundbase is great for a desk setup or an addition to your receiver setup. Using as your main device in your living room is not really an option since it has no remote. Unless you want some extra exercise... the wireless music streaming portion is wonderful with something like Tidal pushing master quality. You can definitely hear a difference.

This sound great via TH-cam. Have you compared them to other bookshelf speakers?
I did. Compared to B&W 700 series ; Kef ls50, and others. Buddy has a HT store. Went with SVS for the sound quality but more so for the mid bass/bass. Way nicer than those i demoed.
