Hi Just a few questions have you modified the block on the car loom? Do it the obsolete wires, are the power leads wire into stereo block? So the car loom is only used for the speakers?

Punto mark 2A doesn't need any of this.

I did everything still not powering on but cig lighter still works

I dont know how old your post is but apparently its a loose earth terminal or a corroded earth terminal at the alternator thats causing the drain same problem on my 06 1.8 Sri let me know how it goes buf

Fairly obvious from the sound of your revs that you're trying to do everyone at the lights and speed off. Makes me think you pissed someone off before you even started the video. Couple that with the fact that you were booking it through junctions without no caution at all. Thirdly, you could've just moved over as you went through the lights to let the Volvo pass. Something tells me you're the dingleberry in this scenario.

My sons new (to him) Punto has a kenwood stereo in, obviously been swopped out at some point. The problem is it’s been wired into the cigarette lighter so there is no power in that for his black box. Any hints on how to solve this problem?

Could doing this damage the ecu.? Shortly after doing this the car started shutting down and some testing was done on the ecu and it was proven to be faulty. I'm not sure if that is merely a coincidence or not

Dont think that roundabout is clear. The black car on the roundabout slows because it thinks you are going straight over. I would of stayed in the left lane then moved out to pass. I guarantee she thought you were going the other way, as in straight over.

Sorry for the lame question but which wire on the ISO did you connect the constant +ve from the fuse box to? I am currently helping a friend install an aftermarket head unit and need this info as I want to leave the cars harness stock when the car needs to be sold. Thanks in advance

I have been known to go a little faster than the speed limit at times. You can still bend the rules and drive carefully in my opinion - this guy was not doing that.

Nice video. I have also come across buckled wheels on the Ford Fiesta Mk7 (2008-2013). It seems to be a common problem because the standard factory fitted alloys are not robust enough for UK roads.

Thank you for uploading this video. I've been looking everywhere for a solution and reading it up is just so confusing. I'm an electrical engineer and I was still confused and cautious to wire it up in case I short circuit anything or send power down the wrong lines. I saw that there was a missing connector on the lead so I was close to powering the unit by jumping the battery cable to the ignition cable too. But luckily I saw this video so thank you for that. Do the data canbus stay disconnected after you make the ignition connection can I ask? Once again, thank you and I'll give it a try once I have the time

fiat engines are quite good it happened to a freind of mine 1.2 60. we took the ht leads off one by one to see if it was getting spark. one of the ht leads didnt have a spark so it was an easy problem just a new spark plug or ht lead will fix it.

My car does the same thing. So changing all spark plugs will be the solution as i haven't change them for last 3 years.?

It was the HT lead It had a tiny pin hole in it, which was arcing out instead I took them back because at 2 months old, brand new leads Shouldnt fail Ziggy

I did only a dry test so far - and I've got on cylinders 1 thru 3 - 200 psi, cylinder 4 at 170 psi. If you look at my videos one of the latest is how my Punto smokes. I am going to open the engine in the next few weeks.

a Strong diagnosis was piston rings when completing a compression test, cylinder 2 3 and 4 were at 200psi Dry Cyl 1 was at 100psi, when a teaspoon of oil was added it went upto 200psi, which confirmed piston ring damage, i kept running it till engine was on a constant misfire when warm, so it was swapped out, Sat ready for when i have time to strip the whole lot down Ziggy

Did you figure what is causing the smoke? It is almost the same here...
