Guess what I have been making all day
Jewelry? lol
Thanks for the info.
Any time!
What jewelry mold is that? I like it deep like that mold makes!
You can find it on Amazon that have a lot of options.
I like them all
question So-called “rubbing alcohol” is usually 70% alcohol, 30% water. 90% would be more the drinking variety....which are you really using?
I am using 99% rubbing alcohol which is used in resin, alcohol ink art, used for cleaning medical supplies, it has many uses. And no it is not drinkable.
Very beautiful. I have acrylic inks, so that will be my first try. Thanks.
Beautiful!❤ My favorite colors are the peacock and jeans by octopus inks. Oh, and the teal!❤
Mine too!
I love the magenta one. Very pretty!❤ Did you get the acrylic ink out of your carpet? That's one of my worst fears in pouring resin. Knocking over my cup or spilling my inks! Ugh
Not yet! I am pretty sure it’s ruined lol.
Maybe try acrylic paint pouring, to use your creativity, instead of tumblers:) i’m sorry that happened to you and thanks for the heads up as I was about to try to tumblers for the first time and I do have a respirator and I do have windows in my studio and two fans going:)
I didn’t use tumblers. This is resin, very different than acrylic paint pouring.
I xannot see what you are doi g the letters iare blocking the wiew which is sads because i like whst yoy were doing
There are no letters I added. May want to check your settings.
Hey don't apologize for your fingernails! A true artist has worn brushes and fingernails. 😊
You are so sweet. Thank you.
The first one on the back looks like a tiger in it. The blue one! Beautiful work
Appreciate this video! I'm new to resin and it's nice to know i can achieve bubble free flower pendants without a pressure pot. Thank you!👍😊✌️
You are so welcome!
1st time watching .but how long does the smell stay in your house ? The epoxy smell .
There is no smell . I use non toxic resin that has no smell. Let’s Resin or JDiction are great brands.
Oh ok great thank u ☺️
@FlowingArtwithAmy Does that mean you don't need to wear a respirator? Love your videos.
@@ginasousa04 I can’t make that decision for you. Some do and some don’t. Because the brands I use don’t smell, I haven’t had the need to, for my personal choice. It is recommended but most need to come to their own decision.
Which was better after unmolding? Did either fade over time?
No
Cool technique! You have some really pretty ones here. I love the technique and remember, other people will like the ones you might not like the best. I saw some you didn’t like all that much and I was like, wow that’s beautiful! :) I didn’t see the blemishes in the ones you mentioned either.;)
Thanks so much! 😊
Hi, I haven't seen anything quite like this before. It was really good to watch. You had some really nice results. Thank you.
Thank you so much!
Thé last one is the best one! I really loved the square it speaks out to you
Thank you.
I am curious as to what size canvas you are using.
14x14
So thankful to find your channel.
Awe thank you
I think the 2 to 1 is thinner and the white just drops. The 1 to 1 is thicker so the white has time to move. Also I found that you should wait for the resin to finish moving before turning on any heat nat or in my case my dehydrator turned into curing machine. If not the resin will sort of simmer creating bubbles. I learned my lesson the hard way. 😢
Ya I have noticed that too.
I swear I hear an owl in the background.
Hahahaha no owl. But I live in Arizona, maybe a dove or pigeon.
I’m wondering if the mica powder is simply too thick and/or heavy for the alcohol white ink to go through unless you use your stick and swirl it through in order to help it out maybe, just a thought. Also I watched a video where the guy actually dipped his swirling tool into liquid silicone before swirling and he swirled without waiting an hour however he did wait the hour and then swirled them again and the results were amazing. However, your pieces are also amazing and I agree with you that blue one is absolutely gorgeous and one even looks like a blue rose. I really like them all 😊 Now I will try your technique and the other technique with the silicone dipped tip and see which I like best!! Thank you for a great video!!
Let me know how it goes
Why are you not wearing gloves with the resin
I am not touching the resin, but have in my description for those who are not professionals, to wear gloves.
Hun, all of those were stunning!!! Not one of them had anything wrong with it. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and I'm sure that I'm not the only viewer who thinks they are ALL perfect just the way they are. So unique! Love them, keep craftin'!
Thank you so much!!
I really like the mosaic look. I’m going to try it. Thank you for sharing. Like your videos. You sound like me after demolding. lol.
You are so welcome! Tell me how it turns out.
Loved the 1:1 resin bloom
The first looks flowery or like water, the second looks more like rocks along a shoreling and the tide is coming in or going out, the back of the first resembles a flower back, personally I prefer the first. The second one seemsit might look better minus the broken glass, it takes away from the second piece, would like the first redone on the second mold for the fancier edge. "A" wins for me. Oh, "A" minus the gold and glass looks alot like an eye, any chance you might try to make it again much smaller scale?
I get that this is old but it was a little hard to watch, some of them you preferred the backs of were prettier then some you liked. Also, you weren't filling the molds right which even as someone who can't afford to work with resin much it made me cringe. If you still have the ones you preferred the backs of, clean them up and carefully dome the backs with just some clear resin of the same kind you were using, I do it so I know it isn't too hard as long as you don't make it spill over the edges, same thinggoes for the ones too see through, you can finish them carefully with a solid color back even after removing them from the mold, maybe just use mica powder and resin and either black, white or match one color used. Seems a waste to not finish pieces and there are likely people interested in buying ones you disliked rather then them sitting in your failure pile. I do like that you were experimenting at the time and you answered something I wasn't aware I was curious about but I hope in your recent works you filled the molds properly and don't give up so easily on your failures, in handcrafted items flaws make items even more one of a kind, the spores you didn't like in this video reminded me of things like coral, them on the edges were like a camera partially submerged in water looking at the reef, it actually made your blue pieces my favorites in this video, they just needed finished up a little. I haven't gotten to your newer video's yet but I do hope youlearned to dome your backs, flat are ok if inlaying but they are more comfortable domed if plain. I hope you don't take my creative criticism negatively, we simply don't all share the same taste so what you call failures may be pretty to others, and it just seems like a waste to not try at least selling pieces you don't like the result of, you could feed the small income into your hobby to buy more supplies, you could even raffle off pretty failures, it's just a thought.
Thank you so much. It has been a process for sure.
WHAT?! How did you come to the conclusion that she wasn't feeling the molds right? If the way she filled her molds made you cringe, you need to work with resin a lot more, then get back to us. You then repeated exactly what she said in her video about putting a solid color on the back of some of the pieces like you were telling her how to do it. Also, doming is one of the first things a resin artist learns, I'm quite positive she knows how to dome. I'm just wondering exactly how you expect anyone to not take your comment negatively. There's a such thing as constructive criticism, but that's not what your comment was. You came across as extremely rude!
Hi 😢😢😢😢😢
Hello, I’m new to this, this is beautiful. May I ask what type of masks do you recommend? Thank you.
You want to wear a gas mask that covers nose and mouth. This is the one I use. amzn.to/3U8T44J
I wish you showed us what pin you used it looks good
I do mention the name, and you can find them on Amazon. amzn.to/3VXkBso
They’re very nice, but why do you leave your coasters down? You just make an extra work now you have to clean your coaster
No matter what I have to clean them, so there was no harm.
Like, but to annoying when you move them to much, just as the camera focuses you move it again
If you watch my most recent videos, it's not like that. This was in the beginning of my channel.
looks like a forest!
Oh, and btw, watching your reveal was like Christmas morning! Plus you get so many amazing results so quickly!
OMG! Now I am in BIG trouble! I have collected or “amassed” polymer clay supplies, everything and anything I might need, but after watching your AMAZING video, I immediately started shopping for resin supplies. I told my husband I was not spending any more money on craft supplies. Never say never, lol! 😮😊❤😊
I know it’s very addicting
I'm the same way. It's addicting.
same - can never have enough craft supplies - I'm slowly working through unpacking (on film) an order of over 150 items - many craft supplies - i have a problem - my bank account isnt deep enough!!!!!😅🤣 I also just collected polymer clay supplies - unused..... now resin supplies!!! haha
Ha! I did the same thing. Lol. Got into polymer, which led to using resin for coating, which led to videos about different resin techniques, which led to me buying stuff for doing resin, and now I'm obsessed with uv resin.... I'm a serial crafter 😊
@@MizJaniceResinArt so interesting . . . I am a serial crafter as well! Kind of funny … I went to get my nails done recently and was a bit of floored with the cost! Seemingly it’s gotten much more expensive and I hadn’t even thought about it before getting them done. I said to myself, I’m never doing this again! But I like having my nails done! So I took some time to research doing my own nails. Acrylic is too hard. But lo and behold.p, they now have polymer gel that you use with dual nail forms. Now I have all the supplies to do my own nails and I’m currently watching videos, etc. Of course there will be learning curve, but it’s so funny that it is right in line with polymer and uv light curing! Lol!
❤❤very nice!
Thank you! 😊
It's not bad I love it!!!
Thank you
I realize this is an older video but do you have a link for where you purchased the molds on Etsy?
It was on Amazon, amzn.to/3IYTOUL
Running a long nose lighter over it does the same thing. Would never use a heat gun as can ruin your molds
I have it moving and not to close. I have yet to ruin one. I have tried the lighter, and it just doesn't work for me. ❤️❤️
To be fair, I have heard the lighter method can also ruin molds. Recently I saw a couple of tutes where they blow or breathe on it claiming the carbon dioxide in one's breath eliminates the bubbles. Haven't tried it yet myself but it seemed to work for them. 🤷♀️
@sweetpealee056 Would never blow resin that close to my mouth that's just asking for trouble. Each to their own
@karenmclaughlan9128 good point!
You can use a straw this works and your at a safe distance
I love your work. I don't see anything wrong with any of your work. It's beautiful
Thank you so much!
This is absolutely beautiful it’s so calming to the mind
Very messy no gloves are a must
I usually do, and I do recommend gloves in my description.
I accidentally always touch bottom! How long do you wait before stirring?
Depends on when the ink stops moving. About 10 minutes. But Depends on the resin I use at the time.
I WILL LOVE TO WATCH THE VIDEO BUT IS TOO LONG. NOT EVERYONE HAVE SO MUCH TIME. MAYBE YOU SHOUL MAKE SOME EDITING.
Many who watch like to see every step. I do have other videos that are shorter. ❤️
Perhaps you should find your fast forward button because I disagree I love these long videos😊
I like these too. If you feel they're too long, apart from using your fast forward button you could also just watch in shorter time frames. Break up the video yourself.
When they get too long, fast forward over repetitive tasks. You can always go back if you miss something really important. At least with these tutorials you have that option but not with sales clips which are usually redundant and LONG! JUST saying.....
I love each one..they are individually stunning.. even black pirate skull..the little yellow are adorable and look like Billy buttons..a wildflower that grows here in Australia 🦘🦘🦘
They are beautiful. My favorite is the first one ~ green-ish.
Silicon sticks to silicon, try plastic next time
I love the spores.
Me too.. they are very cool
