Problem with Walksnail X goggles, VTX

Seems like something is wrong with my Walksnail X goggles and Avatar HD V2 Kit By Walksnail (Type: 8G). Before anyone asks - I do have a HAM license. So at 1200mW and 50Mbps I was hoping a better range and penetration. I went out to test ELRS since I just switched from Crossfire, but turns out the Walksnail setup I have can't handle half the area I used to fly with analog. Any ideas, suggestion...

Does this happens on a all quads? maybe there's an issue with the antenna? Focus mode on?
(un)fortunately it's my only digital setup. I have tested with high and low bitrates, focus mode, fcc unlock etc, still no luck. The official response from caddx: If you set 700mw does it have a different than 1200mw? If yes, please check this video th-cam.com/video/B-MlBZ_O-VI/w-d-xo.html If not, check if the antenna is loose or damaged Seems like the system is just flawed.
