This was my first pottery attempt at trying to narrow the neck and opening of a vase. I wanted it to be taller, but I'll have to start throwing heavier amounts of clay. That will come after more practice and consistency on the wheel and getting better at smaller pottery projects. My goal is to eventually a throw a bigger, long thin necked vase!

This was my first time throwing a vase on the pottery wheel, and it was pretty fun. My husband woodturned a similar shape, so I thought it would be cool to try to make something similar. This was also my first time spinning clay since I've been pregnant, so I was super happy I still fit in front of the wheel (and that I hadn't lost the progress I've made)!
